In 1945 I remember laying on the floor listening to this game against U.S.C. on a battery powered radio with the antena tied to 2 trees. We had no electricity,and I was heart broken at the loss.

when I was in Marine corps. boot camp at Paris Island,we had to earn the privlege to unbutton the top- buttona on our uniform.That ment we had earned the wright to be a Marine boot.Guys worked their ass off for that privledge,it seperated them from the rest. It created competitio.n
