The way I see it, if your going to have reviews then every gaol line play should automatically be reviewed like all scoring plays are supposedly. I just don't get why it always happens to us. I remember Florida game back in 90's where ball hit Florida player in the chest, through his arm and...
But the biology department doesn't bring in $100 million year like football does! The SEC TV contract is why coaches salaries and facilities have exploded.
I’d be fine with a bump in salary instead of contract length. He deserves something extra for turning the culture around and getting players to play for 60 minutes. The culture change is huge for this team and probably hardest thing for 1st year coach to achieve. Just my Opinion.
Phil said he overruled Clawsons play calls about 30% of the time, translation 50-60% is more realistic. Clawson was never allowed to install his offense because someone was afraid a successful OC might stab them in the back and take their job! Not that its ever happened or anything?!
I think Saban was paid around $9 million when a reporter asked the Alabama President how they justify paying a football coach over $9 million a year. He said that's easy, upon Nick Saban's arrival in Alabama our revenues are up over $100million! Also, the TV contracts are paying big bucks to all...
Some state legislatures had to change the laws to allow it, some went into effect in summer, but Tennessee had to wait until next January. Seems lime governor could have done it by executive order but maybe he couldn't for legal reasons.
I heard the President of Alabama asked how he could justify paying a football coach $9 million a year and said said " that's easy, since Nick Saban has been our coach our donations and revenues are up over $100 million a year!"
Now, if we spent a few more bucks after Kiffins left instead of the...
I think Cutcliffe was not going to be our coach because of his health and the stress. He was headed to Notre Dame as coordinator when he had his heart attack. I met him few years back and while he loves UT it was too much pressure at the time. His wife was against it as well. He is a great man...
I had never heard of coach Huepel before he was rumored as the hire by Danny White. I'm fully behind him with what he did this season. I also like that his eyebrows line up and he doesn't talk in slogans, or sound like a hick! Best thing seems to be his high football IQ and ability to develop...
