Florida’s NCAA tournament winning percentage is incredible. They have won more tournament games than Tennnessee has even played in over the history of the program.

KSU has been very impressive building their football program. They played Georgia State last week and lost by a touchdown in the last minute. Just perusing other schools schedules and factoring in the East divisional home/away rotation, this much is known: Home series- Florida, Kentucky, Vandy, Texas A&M Road series- So. Carolina, Georgia, Missouri, LSU, Ole Miss

UT is definitely a top 100 baseball program nationally. Every school in the SEC is. Postseason appearances carry a lot of weight in these rankings. A 12 year drought pretty much buries the Vols when looking at program strength through that lens.

Not sure if Alabama plays at Tennessee next season, but if they do it looks like Coach Serrano will be making more mound visits at LNS.

Tanner knows he wants the job but the timing and circumstances are off right now. Who knows maybe he ends up there but I don't think so. I would love it for him if he did. In my opinion he would have made the same decision regarding UT regardless of the South Carolina situation.

Calvi was definitely offered the position. John Currie was at his home Monday evening.

Currie was definitely putting in the work. He was in Mobile, AL on Monday night and on the phone with Vitello several hours later. I give him an A for effort and at this point a solid B for results. As with any program, staff and recruiting will tell the tale.

Currie did a good job with the search. Alabama got in pretty quick with Bohannan but Calvi was contacted last week. Currie was in contact with Calvi's agent throughout the weekend and they met Monday.
