It cracks me up that this show is still on the air and is a good example of how passionate the Knoxville community is about the Vols. It’s extremely bad. The production quality is comical and the opinions are about the same. Pennington is just not a very likable host.

They probably have better LBs but it’s closer than most realize. They’re probably better at safety too but our corners have been much better. Other than that, I agree with this

Their pass rush is significantly better than everyone this year. Stats vs run are similar to TN But Vols have been much better against pass. Overall we are statistically better as a defense in pts and yardage. We will need to dial up more pressure against Beck

And we’re excellent in most defensive categories. Alabama is ranked 14th in the league against the run and hasn’t played anyone in the top 3rd of the league in rushing. If we take care of the ball, we’re going to be in this until the end.

We finally have a game to talk about! A couple things I’m looking forward to seeing: Nico vs Oklahoma secondary. With his ability/willingness to fit the ball into tight windows, Oklahoma secondary is going to have chances at turnovers. Will be key for Tennessee to establish the run game...

The best part of this thread is Oklahoma is probably going to lose 3 or 4 games in conference this year and all the arguments will be out the window. And then they will likely do the same next year but they also add Michigan out of conference.

We haven’t made the SEC championship game since 07 and haven’t won it since 98. Guess it just depends on your definition of down… But you’re right, we’re on the right path now

We get it. Oklahoma was historically the best team in the big 12. No one is denying that. At the same time, It’s also very debatable if Oklahoma has had a team good enough to win the SEC at any point in the past 20 years. You’ve had teams good enough to win some big games against good team but...

Everyone on this board knows Tennessee has been down for almost 20 years. You can also cobble together random SEC victories spread across many teams and many years if it makes you feel better. Bottom line, we’ll see where you are after this season. It’s not looking good for you.

How long ago were these games that you’re referencing? 10yrs? 20? This has zero relevance to this year’s games. Honestly, we don’t really know how good Ole Miss, LSU, or even Bama will be this year so a lot of your schedule is up in the air. However, facing 6 of the top 15 teams is difficult...
