The great value of Pearce, when he's not destroying people's hopes and dreams, is that he will draw double teams which will leave someone in the front 7 unblocked. I've always harped about gamewreckers up front being the most important thing you can have on defense. Pressure on the QB takes...
To what extent anything is true about why he left, I have no idea.
I do find it funny, though, that players think starting vs. coming out of the bullpen is some make or break optic for major league clubs. If a professional team thinks you're a better fit to start for them? That's what...
He made big plays on special teams, but as the season went on he was making his presence known with the front 7 making some big tackles.
Was the go to guy when Dan Gamble wanted to fake a punt. Special Teams POTW against the Saints.
He definitely earned his contract.
So prospective student athletes can meet with 3rd party companies/organizations to discuss NIL deals but those meetings cannot be recruitment-based in their nature??
The NCAA has their heads so far up their asses. So dumb.
The point is it's disingenuous to dismiss an athlete from any school. We've gotten transfers from all sorts of schools, from Juco to D1. You're going to miss out on A LOT of good players if you're unwilling to evaluate talent at any school.
The only reason I see Mizzou in the playoff is because they play a fairly easy schedule (Bama on the road and OU at home. Auburn could take a step forward, as well) and Brady Cook is returning. But Cody Schrader is declaring for the draft, though, so we'll see how their run game goes.
I've...
Maybe "thread the needle" isn't right. More just "pull the trigger." Example, he ran this TD in. Gotta learn to float that into 89. Plenty of separation, plenty of time. Trust yourself and your receiver.
What Nico needs to learn is that he can't always wait for receivers to be wide open--there's going to be situations where he has to let it rip and try and thread the needle. He can't consistently get happy feet and try to escape the pocket for this offense to operate effectively.
