I believe OP's, and the rest who agree with this take, comprehension skills need a little work. All CJP is saying is that we have more competition than we've had in the past and we simply can't pick 5 right now. doesn't mean it is great competition, but it means no 5 are head and shoulders above...

Don't forget that WE are Vandy's Alabama, we are their whole season. As long as they beat us, their coach won't be on a hot seat. So, we get every ounce of energy, hate, determination, and try hard attitude on every play against vandy. They didn't look like that last night.

You make valid points. However, one could argue that he wasn't really at liberty to "eradicate negativity" based on our lack of depth. We saw some instances in season, such as with Sapp, that hinted at least SOMETHING was going on with players not buying in. Regardless, a vast majority of these...

I'd argue that attitude of the players is worth more than anything else. You can tell that these seniors and juniors, not all, had the "butch mentality." If it's true that the players will take on the head coach's attitude, then we should be much improved on the effort and attitude than last year.
