From what I’ve seen, the blowouts happen because our team is mentally weak. You can see it on their faces when the zebras make a few bad calls against them in a row.

They had a chance to elevate Mulkey internally and they blew it. As a smaller school with less money, I don’t know how you come back from that.

Hard to take too much from this one offensively. SIU was content to sit back in a zone and watch us shoot corner 3s all night. It worked ok at the beginning but then we started making the shots and they never made any adjustments.

Plus it always looks better to beat someone while they’re overranked vs after they’ve already been humbled

Yeah he’s been awesome! I thought for sure that he would be buried on the bench with all the quality bigs we already had but he’s carved out an important role on the team.
