Imagine having a healthy Cade Phillips all season. He would grab rebounds and average 10-12 ppg. If Carey would make Fits and two foot bunnies, he would have been a difference maker.

Maybe she doesn’t know how to motivate. Fast talking doesn’t get it. Sure, players mess up, but this CKC system of pressing and getting beat in the front court doesn’t work against competition. Too soft in the paint and terrible shooting from the three.

Spearman is terrible and Barker takes too many plays off, gets lost on defense and is soft. I don’t know if it’s players or coaching, but good coaching gets extraordinary results from ordinary players.

I can’t see Civil, Prawl, Cooper, sticking around. Edwards might hit portal before she ever gets here.

I thought we had a deep run in the tournament preseason. We might not even make it at this point.

    The Kim Caldwell System

As much as we all dislike him, Nick Saban, was successful because he adapted his system to accommodate his talent. Saban would have preferred to run it four yards three plays in a row and get the first down. When the game changed universally to a spread, RPO and sling it, he recruited more...

The Official Tennessee @ Mississippi State Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, ESPN2

Looked even worse during the MSU run because as our shots didn’t fall, our offensive rebounding was nonexistent. If we would have grabbed a few boards during that stretch and put it back up and in, it would never have gotten close. I do like how 4 of 5 of our first baskets were dunks. Big men...

The Official #25 Tennessee @ Kentucky Game Thread, 8:30 PM ET, ESPN

We have such weak hands in the paint. Guards make good, but low passes to our bigs. They have to catch the ball and go to the rim and dunk the ball. Too soft in the paint. Why do we dribble in the paint or always kick it out ? A catch, spin and dunk equals points. Carey disappoints and JP...

    Speaking of Sad VOL Posts

And he was the only coach willing to give it a chance. That’s what’s sad, we were in such bad shape as a program, no one was interested. After that guy now at Louisiana State University pulled out early and left a spot stain on the burning sofa, we were a dumpster fire.

Inflation is here to stay. A dozen eggs may go up and down in price, but stadium seats get smaller while the price gets larger. Maybe Dooley will get elected to the US Senate and reign in NIL deals and Portal breaks so we don’t have to pay so much. I know a $10-20 ticket was a lot of money for...

    Phillip Fulmer, Jr.

I noticed years ago how he suddenly showed up in the media guide family picture as an adult when he had never been in the picture or mentioned previously. Life happens, not for any of us to Judge.

    Gotta love Coach Barnes

Love CRB. I bet he can still dress you down like a good drill sergeant in Basic for stupid mistakes. We are blessed to have him. Class Act all the way. Cares about building men first, while coaching a game.

What was the first Vols Football game you attended

I believe my first game was October 2, 1982 versus Washington State Cougars. Vols won 10-0. I was 11 at the time. I think ticket price was $8.00 from a scalper outside Neyland. Oh, how times have changed.

    Barnes and Ament

Basically, I do believe Cal is a decent person. He does care for his players. I do not prefer his court side manners and antics. He should get T’ed up for being on the playing surface during live action. I’ve watched him live several times. If I was playing I would run over him! That’s who he...
