PFF top edge rusher - James Pearce

ESPN also has Pierce rated #1: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39778863/ranking-top-pass-rushers-college-football-2024 ...AND... not a single leg-humper in the top ten. I guess they are all too busy racing the qb's lambo.

Looking over our rosters for the last few decades I see the problem.

But we did have a player/coach named Jim Bob Cooter. That's not nothing.

How Tennessee beats Georgia next season…

Just line the parking lot outside Sanford Stadium with a bunch of fancy Escalades and Denalis. Apparently, the leg-humpers cant resist street racing through school zones (over 300 incidents under Kirby).

    Orange helmets

This. i was at the game and thought they were cool at first. But then they just looked like Clemson. Its a hard no for my vote. Don’t want to ever see them again. maybe if they were matte finish?

Rewatched the 2022 Bama game ......

Great post! Agree with everything except Danielson. With Gary, its never that UT was doing something well, it was always AL or GA or whomever was doing something bad. You are right in your observations of him, and I do agree UT has been dreadful enough to warrant…but he’s still such a gross...

    Wesley Walker enters the portal

EXACTLY! UT's secondary is near the bottom in all categories statistically. It's coaching, players, or both...so why would anyone be upset with turnover. I wish these guys the best success and hope they find an NFL-ready fit at another program. But for UT, either find the guys to fit the...

ESD Recruiting Rankings by Average Per Recruit, Etc.

This. Agree 100%. The portal is where it is at. 5-stars leave programs all the time. Utilizing the portal makes the talent gap much smaller and signing days more irrevelant.

A early review of the Returnees

Nice sleuthing, thanks for the explanation. Since I believe the leg humpers to be the most overrated team in college football, this sad troll posting here makes me laugh. Im so glad they were left out of the CFP, and are losing players to the portal.

The New Formula for Success in College Football

More fodder for this discussion. Again, I totally agree with you - the better teams do use the portal less. I also believe this will soon change. I saw the news yesterday Georgia's Dumas-Johnson (a Butkus award finalist in 2022) and 5-star recruit A.J. Harris have both entered the portal. That...

A early review of the Returnees

Once they shut down the football program, they will never win the SEC again. I hope they tear down Neyland and plant a nice sod farm. It's hopeless for Tennessee. Just hopeless. Give up now while you still have some money left!

A early review of the Returnees

Agree. I'm thinking UT probably should just shut the program down and focus on other sports. Where do these people come from?

The New Formula for Success in College Football

Would you rather... (a) pour your heart and soul (and precious time energy) into a kid that commits only to bail on you in year two (b) pick up talent from the portal There are plenty of good and bad examples of both (JT Daniels, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts)
