GAME THREAD: Texas A&M in Knoxville, Thursday, 2/19, 6:30 pm EST, SECN+

So far, we've got no one who will get in position, or fight, for a rebound. Our ladies have a three rebound edge that should be about 13-15, if they would just fight. Jim

GAME THREAD: Texas A&M in Knoxville, Thursday, 2/19, 6:30 pm EST, SECN+

Fans have repeatedly called for our coach to call timeouts in a game. Tonight she has called three, so far, and nothing positive has come from any of them! Jim

GAME THREAD: Texas A&M in Knoxville, Thursday, 2/19, 6:30 pm EST, SECN+

The Lady Vols have, in my opinion, been giving more effort on both sides of the ball than they did against Mississippi. The problem, as I see it, is that their effort is too herky-jerky and out of control. I have heard the term "controlled chaos" for the style of play that Coach Caldwell...

GAME THREAD: Texas A&M in Knoxville, Thursday, 2/19, 6:30 pm EST, SECN+

I just said to my spouse that the male announcer needed to remember the audience he's playing to and the fact that this is a Lady Vol production! Jim

GAME THREAD: @ Ole Miss, Tuesday, 2/17, 7pm EST, ESPNU

My choice of words was poor. I am not convinced the system will work at this level. I just don't think we've seen the effort it purportedly requires to implement it effectively.

GAME THREAD: @ Ole Miss, Tuesday, 2/17, 7pm EST, ESPNU

If I were the coach, I might ask the team if they just want to go to the buses now, since it appears they don't really want to play. Someone said earlier that the "system" was no good. I would disagree, because I don't think we've seen the players execute Coach Caldwell's "system". My...

GAME THREAD: @ Ole Miss, Tuesday, 2/17, 7pm EST, ESPNU

The difference in this game, in my opinion, has been the sloppy play that has resulted in seven Lady Vol turnovers to this point. Jim

GAME THREAD: @ Ole Miss, Tuesday, 2/17, 7pm EST, ESPNU

I'd say they have all been a little wild, so far. It just seems that they feel all they have to do is throw the ball in the direction of the basket. I don't understand players at this level who don't understand touch and control. Jim

He didn't say the calls were wrong/unwarranted. Jim

GAME THREAD: Texas in Knoxville, Sunday, 2/15, 3pm EST, ABC

Bobbitt was 5'2" and came to the Lady Vols from JC. Comparison to a true freshman playing in her first D-1 season is also not the same situation. Jim

GAME THREAD: Texas in Knoxville, Sunday, 2/15, 3pm EST, ABC

Rooster, my young pal, none of the refs had to be "on the take" to be as distressingly bad as they were today. And, just so you'll know that I'm an equal opportunity complainer - I grouse about the refs when my Lady Vols win, as well! Jim

Probably because Barker and Spearman both have four fouls. Jim

GAME THREAD: Texas in Knoxville, Sunday, 2/15, 3pm EST, ABC

Not exactly, but there is a rule that you have to give a player room to land with the ball. Jim

Do you really think that last call on Wolfenbarger was really a foul by her? Jim
