UConn would not. Auriemma does not like sister acts. A helicopter parent would be another reason. He had to deal with that several years ago and it didn't turn out well,
My guess is that he was sending a message to his two post players today. Their rebounding is almost non existent. The leading rebounder for UConn was their 5'9" point guard KK Arnold. Also Sarah Strong who averages just under 8 RB/GM only had 1. She has been less than 100% for the last few games.
I'm not so sure. I do think that none of the current assistants will be considered. Here she is enjoying success with a program that she has turned around. She may not want the pressure of filling Auriemma's shoes. I also think that Ralph is a southern girl and that might have some impact...
When this story first broke I read that he was recruited by a couple of NFL teams but they elected to pass saying that he had "some issues." Atlanta signed him and he had a very good season. I guess he can now kiss a promising career goodbye.
y'oughta be!
Gule - I will apologize in advance. I have read and enjoyed your comments on this forum for a long time but this one was just too good to pass up. I hope you read it with the humor that was intended. ;)
No, but she probably answers to her 10 year contract and her massive paycheck at LSU. With that as a given, why would she leave a successful program where she is the 2nd highest paid coach in WCBB to try to salvage a struggling program?
Are you talking about Pissot because her stats aren't bad? MPG 28.2, PPG 11.5, RPG 4.6, A/TO 2.0, FG% 44.5, 3pt% 43.9. I think she could have been an asset at Tennessee.
