In the past few years, there are 3 programs that are WR factories for the NFL. LSU, Alabama, and Ohio State. If you’re a big time WR prospect is easy to see why you would be intrigued by those 3.
There is a difference in “rivals” and “big games”.
Bama, UF, and Vandy are Tennessee rivals while UGA is a big game. Same for them, if you ask a UGA fan it will be UF, Aub, and GT as rivals with Tennessee being a big game.
Are you talking about Stetson Bennett? I wouldn’t way he “did not play well”. Was the MVP of CFP semifinal and Championship as well as a Heisman finalist. If that’s not playing well the bar is set pretty high😂
It’s also moving the goal post a little. It’s a common knock on UGA that “they don’t develop receivers” or “they only go there to block”. Truth is McConkey and Pickens are #1’s for their teams in the NFL. Throw in Bowers at TE and they have 3. Heupel’s offense has not produced a WR with the...
Based on recent history (last 5 years) curious how everyone views the SEC as a whole. I see it as 4 groups. Group 1 are the dominant powers. Group 2 are knocking on the door. Group 3 could break through but have had more roller coaster type years. Group 4 don’t really have a chance to win...
This is not going to be unique to Tennessee. I guarantee there are players on UGA, Ohio State, PSU, and Oregon that already know they are transferring when the season ends. It doesn’t mean they tanked or didn’t give effort, it’s just part of big time college football. When you recruit top...
In all honesty, am I the only one that thinks it’s weird we bring up games from 26 years ago as if they just happened? I mean seriously, we made fun of UGA for years with 1980 jokes but here we are every year touting 1998 or 1986. 1998 was 27 years ago…. How about we start living in the present
Does anyone else notice that when a player leaves it’s “a money grab” or “good riddance” but when a player decides to transfer in we tend to make it about “loving our culture and coaches” “previous coaches lied to them” etc…. More than likely those coming in are doing the same as those going out.
