QB Joey Aguilar commits to UT from portal

Worse case…he provides depth. Best case…he comes in and gets coached up, starts, and lights it up. Welcome to Rocky Top! GBO!

    Transfer QB or Existing?

Of the 958 total offensive plays we ran last year, Nico only completed 213 passes, again many of these inside 10 yards. While I agree with you that the run and the pass game help each other, I would also propose that there are a myriad of QBs in the SEC that could do as well, if not better, than...

    Transfer QB or Existing?

I’d also add that a QB for depth is a valid point. That said, B. Carter, M. Goree, and J. Thomas all played QB in their past. While not ideal, a backup plan, with great athletes, already on the roster, who have experience, is better than no backup plan. GBO!!

    Transfer QB or Existing?

I posted this in a previous thread, but I thought it would be relevant here as well: Of the 958 offensive plays we ran last year 61% were run plays and only 39% were pass plays. Regarding these pass plays, many were either unsuccessful, or were for less than 10 yards. That all said, you don’t...

Why hunt down a high profile QB?

Of the 958 offensive plays we ran last year 61% were run plays and only 39% were pass plays. Regarding these pass plays, many were either unsuccessful, or were for less than 10 yards. That all said, you don’t need the second coming of Peyton Manning to do the same! In fact, you could probably...

Where is Nico likely to land?

Left coast…UCLA, USC, Stanford…outside chance for Oregon or ASU…we shall see.

    Our offense was bad

The loss of Keenan Pili hurt us more than you’d think. He was a head hunter and the leader on D. There are some cogent points on O in this thread and I would suggest that going forward we open up the play book, or throw the 5-play playbook away and find a new coordinator and book that helps our...

Why are we losing so many receivers?!?!

Several valid points have been discussed regarding the WR situation. However, I believe I can add some more clarity by taking a closer look at a different position. Throughout the year, we heard that Peyton Lewis was the “fastest guy on the team,” and yet, they only handed the ball off to him up...

    Squirrel is leaving???

There are two ways to look at this. The first is obvious…money. Unfortunately, it will be the first and most glaring factor in recruiting and retention. The second is preparation for the next level…which includes showcasing your abilities and talents to scouts and tv personalities…as well as...

Why did we move away from our offensive identity throughout the year?

I agree…Hooker was very, very good at analyzing the field and making a quick decision…which coincidentally helped his O-line and receivers out. This year’s extra “one potato,” and sometimes two potatoes or more, we are taking to decide to run or pass hurt us…which is making the receivers look...

    Poor performance after bye weeks

Throw in discipline, or lack there of, as well.
