While not wanting Butch back might be true, it is also true that General Neyland was known for the proper execution and discipline of his teams…he was also known for his teams winning 7 SEC Titles and 4 National Championships. One can only hope that Heupel can, in small way, imitate the...
Last I checked we’ve lost 25 players to the portal and only picked up 2. Perhaps both of those guys are Herschel Walkers, but I doubt it…I’m hoping the coaches step it up and finish strong, bc we need help on both sides of the ball!! Btw, if you think we don’t have money now, try throwing 2-3...
Not a complete list…but what i got from a quick search on Forbes:
Charlie (Charles W.) Ergen — ~$11B+ — DISH/EchoStar — University of Tennessee
Jimmy (James A.) Haslam III — ~$8.5B — Pilot / investments — University of Tennessee
Gary Rollins — ~$8.6B — Rollins, Inc. (Orkin) — UT Chattanooga...
Strengthen both the O-line and D-line, get a better kicker, and for Pete’s sake, let’s get some smart, aggressive coaching and we could be back just like Miami. GBO!
My point for the O and the team was it wasn’t good enough when we played a team with a winning record. To say otherwise is downright silly…WE LOST every single game!
If we got 800 yards of O and lose guess what genius it wasn’t good enough…I don’t know if you didn’t spend enough time on the...
Move the goal posts? I’m underscoring my original point in that the “scoreboard doesn’t lie.” Perhaps you are OK with 400 plus yds of total offense and a quality loss. Me personally, I’d prefer a victory bc of our outstanding team performance…which we didn’t get. Also, you forgot the stellar...
I’m sure the 717 yds against ETSU or the 510 against UAB has no bearing on our overall stats…nonetheless, every game you site we lost. So clearly, we didn’t have: A) A good enough Offense (regardless of stats), B) a good kicker, C) a good Defense, D) Solid Coaching or E) all the above…I’m going...
Not against ranked opponents. Sure, play Syracuse or Bucksnort community college and we pad our stats by running up 500 yards of total offense…but the scoreboard doesn’t lie, unfortunately.
I would argue that it’s not only being predictable, but it’s our lack of adaptability and adjusting on both offense and defense that allows any team with a pulse to beat us. Being able to adjust and adapt keeps you unpredictable…something we are not! Heupel has not demonstrated the ability to...
