Nice to see they’ve come up and been competitive so far.
Also only five matches in and it looks like Liverpool are already running away with the league, and they haven’t even been playing particularly well. Less excited to see that.
Now that I think about it, the 3rd quarter of that game is probably the loudest I ever heard it. Even more than the end of UF a couple years earlier. The first half was already crazy loud, but it went to a whole other level with each successive TD right after halftime. Between it being the...
I’ll take your word for it. I wasn’t there. The two loudest games I’ve ever been at were ‘04 Florida and ‘06 Cal. Was also at the Bama game in ‘22 and IMO is wasn’t even remotely on the same level as either of those games. Could have just been where I was sitting though.
Both things can be true. It may well have been the loudest they’ve ever played in, but they’re all in their early 20’s at the oldest. They never played in the stadium when one whole sideline wasn’t a wine/cheese luxury area, the north end zone was fully enclosed and lots of the most passionate...
I think everyone knew it was coming, but still can’t quite believe Forest sacked Nuno. Even more surprising is that Ange appears to be taking the job. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to work for Maranakis after the past year or so.
Don’t feel bad for Geuhi. He’ll play one more season and Palace and then get a huge signing bonus and much higher wages when you guys get him on a free next summer.
So if they get Isak and Guehi today, Liverpool will have spent well in excess of half a billion dollars this window, right? I know they’ve brought in a decent amount through sales, but that’s still hard to fathom. They aren’t Chelsea.
What makes it so stupid is the actual ref who saw it at full speed from ten feet away got the call correct. It wasn’t until someone in an offsite office park started watching it in slow motion that the problems began. The on field ref still deserves some blame for not showing a little backbone...
It’s incidents like that that lead people to believing that VAR is not about getting the calls right and really just officially sanctioned match-fixing.
They’ve ruled it out for a “careless challenge”, but it’s a reach to even call it a “challenge” at all. Muniz just got there well ahead of...
They’ve played three competitive matches and thrown away a lead in all three. I imagine they’ll figure it out, but I would be a bit concerned if I were a supporter.
@VolsLFC…even if the teams can somehow come to an agreement, would you even want Liverpool to buy Isak at this point?
I don’t know where he goes from here. He’s completely poisoned the well at Newcastle, and he’s actually handled it so poorly that I’m not sure other teams will see him as worth...
What made it so stupid is that it wasn’t even the actual ref. VAR spent what seemed like five minutes before awarding it. Fortunately turned out to be case of ball don’t lie after Bruno ballooned it about a mile over the bar.
I’m surprised they’ve been so bad. Quite a few guys in their squad that I’ve always thought are decent players, but a -7 damn after two game has them looking like relegation material.
