I saw a bunch of this called week one and 2 and announcers said it was a new point of emphasis. They seemed to stop calling it after that weekend.

I believe they said it wasn’t reviewed; rather, the refs had time to discuss b/c of the clean up. I take no issue with another ref coming over and saying “the wr initiated the contact”. The only question is if that conversation happened b/c someone looked at the Jumbotron or if they saw it live.

imo biggest issue is how the referees seem to be focused on rub routes. That could be impactful on our offense.

I assume he means the fumble. It was 2nd and 7 and we were rushing instead of using a timeout. I felt like the needed to settle as well. Doesn’t mean it would have prevented the fumble but TO should have been used.
