If we put up 14 points of offense we will 100% win. Maybe even only 10 or 7. Iowa offense is that bad.
We could literally play like we did against Georgia and Mizzou and still probably win. I am not worried at all.
If we make a bowl and have a winning season it will be 4 seasons straight with a winning record. First time since 2004.
I will say regardless of how next season goes, that it is an accomplishment. The program has been to
the pits of hell and is now on the rebound!
I think you are right in that our offense could struggle if they have an off game. However, Iowa's offense is putrid. Like truly awful. Have you watched any of their games? It is painful how bad the offense is. I don't think our defense will struggle too much with them.
But yes, maybe our...
I agree. Iowa has a solid defense, but I ain't scared of them. Even if we had an off game or struggled on offense, we could win. A Missouri or Georgia style outing could still lead to a win. We could beat Iowa 7 or 10 to nothing.
Their offense is terrible. I think our defense could shine if...
Man it is nuts to think about that. Like, I can't even imagine firing Heup if he had a bad season this year after last year, and we didn't even go to the SECCG.
I feel like a double digit win season should at least buy you two years to turn it around. After all, this sport can be fickle...
I think if we get to 8-4 it is still a great year. If any of the 3 previous coaches were still here, we would likely have more loses easily. Still think we can beat Missouri though and with Georgia at home, we at least have a shot.
Yeah, I noticed this too. He has historically been terrible at it. You got to wonder after the past two games if a light is finally coming on for Milton. He has been showing way more awareness and I think him running opens up the pass game a bit more.
Agree 100%. He could have all the talent in the world, but I guarantee if you put him in he will make some dumb mistakes. Even next year there will be some growing pains. I hope the people clamoring for him understand this.
They played better last year when being the underdog as well. The team slipped up once a target was on their back. I think that's something this program needs to learn to deal with as they continue to grow.
To me, it is clear that Joe is learning and getting better. The past couple of games he is seeming to recover better after mistakes. That's all I can really ask as he is going to make them. But there is no reason to spiral as he has done before.
