Best in-state recruits to play for the Vols?

Jimmy Glover - Safety from Macon County (Lafayette) He played before my time, but my Dad always talked about him returning an interception for a TD in the '68 Orange Bowl against Oklahoma. He's a local legend in my hometown, anyway.

He was a toddler at the time, so I would carry him out to look at the cows or down to the barn to see the horses. Around here we refer to holding a child and walking around with them as "packing them around". I figured that was an innocent enough statement, but perhaps I was wrong.

My Mom used to babysit him when she lived in Murfreesboro. I used to pack him around my Papa's farm. I hope we get him.

'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

He needs to wear the #47 at UT. We need an AK47 in the backfield.

The Official 10/19/13 Crybaby Roll Call Thread

I didn't get misty eyed until I watched the post game videos of the team, fans, and coaches celebrating. When you have played the game (even at the high school level) and you have experienced that kind of euphoria (and if you are a life long Vol fan), it just gets to you sometimes.

    New Coaches From Cincinnati.

Ok! If you don't have the wherewithal to stick it out, see y'all later! We've been laughed at before. You think Bammers and Gators are gonna just start loving us?

    New Coaches From Cincinnati.

So, Nick Saban, Les Miles, and Urban Meyer were all good 'ole southern boys? Look, I agree that to some extent you need southern ties, but the notion that a coach from north of KY can't recruit in the south is preposterous. I don't know if this hire will work any more than the next guy, but...

Chances we have a good rushing attack in 2012

I think the bulk of it rests on the maturation of Bray. If he becomes the student of the game that he needs to be, I think he will make better checks and we run the ball better. All this being said, the offensive line has to show some cohesiveness as well. I am excited about Borque, I think...

    NC State Game on Friday

I grew up in Macon County, TN, so the I-40 drive is like a part of the ritual for me. That being said, when the leaves really start turning I like to take the Parkway. We took my daughter to her first game two years ago. She really wasn't in to football until she saw a game at Neyland. She wears...
