Jackson Herrington from the Vols golf team just made it to the quarterfinals of the US Am being played at Olympic club in San Fran. Big opportunity for him tomorrow.

Poor fundamentals and lack of pitching has been the issue with this team all year. That was embarrassing.

They are the 5th seed in their specific region, which is Amherst, VA. Good news is the Vols are currently leading the regional midway through rd 2.

He’s actually a really good guy off the field. Has good poise on the field and doesn’t seem to get rattled. It’s all but done but they’re still playing cat and mouse with NIL. Everyone knows Vols were offering Nico level money to some of the sitting QB targets so now it gives Joey leverage...

He actually has good looking arm action but still unproven. Surprised he’s leaving Notre Dame as he was assumed to be the starter to begin the year. Much better touch on intermediate and deep throws than Nico.

Staff has already reached out to him and are doing their due diligence. He’s still a bit raw but has upside and is tough. Think he could be a plan b or potential bridge to ease the younger guys into the fray.

As I said early in this thread, Barnes was all over Passmore early in his recruitment when he was still playing at AC Reynolds. After he transferred to prep school is when the big competition set in and he ultimately choose Kansas. He’s very athletic and has tremendous upside on both sides...

Been knee deep in azaleas all day, but talk is the coaching staff didn’t feel there was much difference between Nico and Merklinger. Nico’s people also tried to throw shade at our OC. Definitely chasing a portal to compete

Like to see us kick the tires with this kid. Has a lot of upside as a slashing wing and defender. Played in Asheville for a couple years and I know Barnes liked his game early in recruiting process.

Was just thinking the same. We have to get more offensive threats and secondary scorers on the roster moving forward. Can’t rely on one guy to score and not having a back to the basket big kills us in scoring droughts.
