Hart has failed (again)

If Hart planned on bringing back Cuonzo next year regardless, he was irresponsible for not publicly supporting his coach and squashing Bruce rumors. Just like he should've squashed the Grumors. Silence can divide a fanbase and it certainly has.

If Hart feels like he needs to make a change, I am sure he has a list of possible replacements in mind.

I didn't like the way Hart handled the football hire, but he can't do anything about Pearl. Even if he wanted to fire Martin (which he won't), we still have a game to play. Timing was a problem. Auburn fired Barbee before he got home from the SECT because they wanted to get ahead on the search. Hart had no control over this. You can't make a statement about a former coach when there is an existing coach in place- that is totally out of bounds. I simply do not agree with your post.

There are these things called 'telephones' - let's see how they could be helpful in this scenario you have laid out.

1) Hart uses said 'telephone' to call Bruce and say, 'hold on cat - we want you - wait until CCM loses'

2) wait there isn't a second part, it's really that easy.

Yeah because that's how things work.

They beat the eventual #4 team in the country. Not a bad win. Could he have done better? Probably.

Most people expected 5-7 before the season started, but I don't think many of us expected a win over a top 5 team.

So tell me how a 5-7 team is killing it on the field? That was what I was responding to.

I'm going to get blasted for this but I'm just stating facts. I have a bad feeling that Tennessee basketball is going to be irrelevant down the stretch if we do not make some sort of change. If Hart decides to keep Martin which I'm sure he will, he's either going to have to recruit his a** off better or he's going to have to step up and be able to coach this incoming class the best of his abilities. Or the University of Tennessee is going to have to pay big bucks if they want a good basketball coach. If Martin is retained for a few more years, I believe Tennessee is going to fall into a deep hole which will be extremely hard to dig out of if we don't make some sort of coaching change. Yea, he made the tournament this year, but barely with the most talented roster he's going to have in a very long time. He's underachieved all 3 years he's been here. Next year will be very hard to watch. There won't be no Stokes or Jordan Mcrae and this incoming class is average at best. If Martin barely makes the NCAA tournament with one of his most talented rosters, how in the world do you expect him to make the tournament next year with a less talented roster? What will be Martin supporters excuse next year if he fails? Like I said before, if the University of Tennessee isn't willing to pay good money for a descent basketball coach, we could be in some serious trouble. I know it and I'm sure there's a lot of Tennessee fans out there that know it too. Why can't some Tennessee fans admit that I'm right? Blast away.

Wow, you seriously had to create a thread to say the exact same crap that's been said in other threads? What part of your post do you consider so unique that you felt it needed its own thread?

LMAO you read every post that makes it to the board. Especially the ones that question CCM.

What part of his post is anything that hasn't already been said? Why is this new thread worthy?

Again with the pro-Martin bullcrap; I question stupidity and people who can't follow the rules.

Wait...wait. I stopped reading right after you wrote "feel" and "I believe" after writing "I'm just stating facts." Can't read anymore. If you can't actually state facts, then....in my profession, you can't prove anything.

You didn't have to click on the thread.
