If you think his Elite 8 team was better than his 30 win SEC Champion team, you're crazy.
The point is they were both HIS teams. He is a better coach than ccm, loves TN, and is available in august. I do not understand how there is even a debate. Ccm is not the coach to improve this team, and only an idiot would think that he is a better option than pearl.
Or hypothetically thinking said coach can make the tourney. There is no factual evidence that ccm can make the tourney, nor win a single game if he does.Apparently, we have different ideas on idiocy. Idiotic to me would be firing a coach after he makes the NCAA tournament and replacing him with a coach that was forced out of the game for three years based on what he might hypothetically still be able to do though there is no factual evidence to support the claims that he is still the coach he was. Three years have passed. He has new baggage. Everyone believing he can step right back in to where he was is fooling themselves. Time changes all things. I would expect the older crowd to be extremely aware of that.
I'm going to keep hoping for Bruce's return...because when he was coach, everyone was excited and invested in our Vols program...probably even the ardent posting detractors desperately trying to convince fellow fans that ALL IS WELL...ALL...IS...EFFING WELL!!!...if Cuonzo leads his team to the tourney...and represents well...I'll keep supporting as I've done all along...with lowered vigor and expectations...knowing that it would be better with Bruce...provemewrong :salute:

So if we make the tourney, you'll admit you're an idiot?
Of the many responses I would love to make to this post, I realize they would be quickly deleted, especially after Freak's recent blanket warning.
I wonder though, what kind of sanctions would UT still be under if Pearl was still coach here. Technically, he could have been retained, but the NCAA would then have enforced strict penalties upon the program, so would we be better off? Not definitive proof, but proof nonetheless, that you're wrong.

It seems that I've angered you ...why?...when we want the same thing...the best basketball program possible...I believe we had that and promise for even more under Bruce...and that we will always struggle and be mundane under Cuonzo. You point to the NCAA infractions galore (that never happened...everything was minor) and imminent probation (they were minor). Your rage at my opinion is so impalpable that you considered risking an infraction of your own. To insult me personally...and with malice :aggressive: I'll pray for your anger issues...as if you were a friend...I hope you believe in the Lord...for that tingling feeling won't be from your regular girl.
