The Pearl petition just lost it's sail. After the last 3 games played by the Vols they have quiet the crowd that wants a coaching change...for now.

Hamilton miss the boat when he didn't hire someone capable of raising the level of the team verses an on the job trainee.

This thread is probably in the state it needs to be at the moment, passive aggressive. Why bring on unneeded drama, just support the team, deal with the coach at season's end. Not now.

People hear and interpret conversations that best support their wants. Right now is not the time....but there will be a time to determine whether to crank the petition up or let it die.

Cuonzo's the kind of coach we need. One who can only get his players to play under the threat of his being fired.

I do not agree with the above. I don't care if ccm makes the tourney , we should still bbb. Here is why, who is the better coach cbp or ccm. If you have the chance to upgrade you upgrade. Even the ccm supporters would have a hard time pointing at facts and saying that pearl is not a better coach. I see them stating he has earned more time, but I have not seen many actually say that ccm is a better coach. Keep the petition going!

Then you think you are supporting the team by keeping the pressure applied to the team by stirring crap at this moment.

You failed to read the petition, it clearly states in the event Martin is fired. Some live for drama and right now there is nothing to do except to support the team versus your wants.

You can do both support the team and this petition but timing is every thing. And drama free.

Okay..so what about the coaches who are better than bruce. Why would you bring him back before hiring any of them?

Makes no sense.

Which ones? I have not seen any coaches better than pearl that have shown interest. So, just hypothetically and not comparing Jackson to pearl, but if Phil Jackson wanted to come coach at tn, you would not upgrade given the chance?

Furthermore ccm has proven that he can take talent and create decent teams with them sometimes. Sorry, I did not know that the goal of our program was to MAKE the tourney and not compete for championships. Do any of you ccm supporters truly believe that he can actually coach us to a final four? I don't!

You think Pearl can? He couldn't get the winningest team in school history past the Sweet 16, needed an extremely fortunate draw to get to the Elite 8, and went 19-15 with a pair of McDonald's All-Americans. His best days are behind him.
