Really no matter what happens if Martin isnt fired this year he surely will the next. UNLESS he hires an x n o coach(no im not suggesting what some of you all are thinking..the other way YES! ) lol. Its those easy games that makes it look so so bad. The other shame is the no national spotlight for two really really good Vol Basketballers. On a winning team the media would be selling McRae and Stokes. All said I would love to see them fulfill the potential and go farther than any other Vol team has.

PS Hart could also do to Martin what the Titans did to Munchak, force him to fire his assistants ..Martin would leave I believe? maybe Heck Hart fired the Band Director..its a tight lipped ship Hart commands!

That is one thing about Pearl you had to love. Every player on the team had an individualized story. I can't remember the walk on that made it onto the court but the media devoted a pretty lengthy segment to him and his family.

The one ingredient that made those teams special was the Chemistry. That played as a team ever once in a while JP would get into a mode and the others would snap him of it.

Pearl's teams played as a single unit but the players never lost their individuality. Very team oriented in results but each player assumed individual responsibility for their output and efforts.

He tried that with Dooley it didn't work LOL. Dooley threw them under the bus, but most were gone on their own anyway.

So we need to bring Jerry Green back for the first half and let Cuonzo take over for the second half?

Agreed. Oh the Pearl thing is far from dead. lol. Timing is everything and Martin still has to prove he can find it. I still haven't heard a Hart thumbs up and Harts NOT going to give it unless its real. Im still on the " this thing is cooking" belief. !

We could probably let Green coach via Skype; just attach an iPad to the head of a mannequin and have a team manager roll him back and forth on the sideline.

Oh make sure the mannequin's arms are folded.

Maybe we just give CCM the following list of assistant coach hires --- Bruce, Buzz, Jerry, Don and Kevin. Wade as an alternate.

Hiring Pearl Back would be a Media extravaganza. He may come back in here and not accomplish a thing, but it would be a heck of a story line. Good Publicity.

I don't think you can assure me on anything regarding the media. What's the media going to cover about Bruce Pearl that is not already been covered nationally.

He seems to have survived it fairly well. Good paying job, new wife, out of the jail house soon, already had a coaching job offer, living well, people pay him for his basketball opinion and he is still loved by many.

Today's or in his case Yesterday's news was and is tomorrow's garbage wrapper. There's your three paragraphs. Let me add the 4th.

Is there not a thread on this board that you do not comment on. I know it's a free world but bring something to the table. Bottle of Whiskey or something?
