Making the tourney this year doesn't mean he has 'improved.'. For the last time, this freaking team shouldn't be sweating it as a bubble team. They should be playing for seeding at this point, but our mid-major coach has taken a veteran, talented team and under-achieved with them.

Besides, you don't accept mediocrity out of fear of trying to find a better coach. Keep him around a couple more years and see how bad it gets when you have 10k showing up at TBA.

Don't seem like a big hurdle. Just get rid of Jimmy. I don't see where he has brought in a lot of revenue.

Overall, yes. Now, if he doesn't make it this year, then no. I feel this way because I don't have an unrealistic, entitled attitude. Were you happy with 8-8 in the conference and a 19-15 record Pearl's last year? Talk about underachieving. But, of course you are, because he made the tournament, but that's not good enough for Martin.

Ummm...yeah, it does. He didn't make it 2 years, then did. Your argument is he's never made the tournament, and if he does, it won't be good enough. See Pearl's last year. Talk about underachieving. Whoo boy.

Ummm...no it doesn't.

Straight from the fightin martins play book: try to discredit Pearls 6 tourney appearances by saying his last team under-achieved.

Again, making the tourney as a bubble team with a team that should be a 6 seed does not equal improvement.

It did. A team that just got off a tie for 1st in the East and an Elite 8 does not go for only 19 wins and FIFTH in the East. FIFTH! Martin has never come close to that. That was good enough for 7th overall in the whole conference. Underachieving right there.

I've never said it was a big improvement, but going from not making it and 19 wins to making it and 20+ is improving. Sorry you suck at math and comparisons. Public education at its finest right here.

At least I was able to add something along with the insults. Leave it to a Pearlophile to act holier than thou, but fail to counteract the argument presented before him. "Oh look at me, I have nothing to disprove that information presented to me, so I'm going to act like I only read the last two sentences and that I'm above providing a comeback."

Who, do like I have. Laugh at the haters, and laugh even harder at those calling for Pearls return or saying fire Martin regardless of seasons outcome.

Enjoy what's currently going on, and ass whooping of auburn and our first 3 game winning streak in league play of the season.

We play like this and we will waltz into the dance and posters like this disappear. If we trip up and miss the dance these things have a way of working themselves out.

I am not trying to get into your debate, (I made my opinion of this staff known before) but think about this.. They may have finished 5th in the east, I don't know I haven't looked it up, but that probably sounds about right. What I did look up was the teams in the SEC in the tournament. KY #1 seed, Vandy #4 seed, TN #6 seed, FL #10 seed. While that year was disappointing I don't think it is comparable to the comparative example you gave above.

If I were to compare the two examples I would say this years team would not have finished as well as the team then did. Doesn't matter really because the past is the past, different coaches and different players etc..

I've said it before, the petition needs to be a fire Jimmy "the booger eater" Cheek petition. Until he is gone I don't see athletics reaching their full potential. The man should be fired simply for picking his nose during a press conference. That's not professional at all.

What's their record?? What's their RPI?? BPI?? We beat a team we should've beat, something we haven't done with consistency all year.

Now, pick something out of the above post and try to twist it into something to fit your argument...it's what you do best.

Florida was 1 (13-3), Kentucky 2 (10-6), Vandy 3 (9-7), UGA 4 (9-7), and the Vols 5. (8-8) Only beat USC in the East. That is completely true. And Bama (12-4) and Miss.State (9-7) round out Pearl finishing 7th in the conference. How is that not underachieving? That 6 seed for the Vols was a great overranking, even more than the #2 in Pearl's first year. No way a 19 win team should've been that high.

So solve 2 problems at the same time !!! Get rid of Booger ButtCheek and Martin at the same time !!! Then hire a proven big time winner like Bruce. We need Bruce. We don't need Booger.
