Sure hope spring time gets here so 22,000+ warped fans can get out of the house once they realize they have ZERO say in any UT coaching decision. ZERO.
Bruce is not "coming home" except possibly to Sweet Home Alabama after the season is over. We'll see how the Love for Bruce holds out then.

So, you're saying that it would be perfectly fine for Alabama to hire Pearl but Tennessee can't and that our AD (an Alabama alum) would allow an epic public relations disaster to occur by allowing our most bitter rival to hire our most popular basketball coach? You are also saying that fans can't influence a decision like this? That is just wrong especially if those fans are boosters. The only thing warped here is your logic.
25,000 people melting down in a fan base of many 100,000's is not epic it's sad. And these online petitions are ridiculous every time something happens a few people don't agree with someone has to go start a petition. A petition by the way that holds no legal basis and no it doesn't mean anything to anyone but the ones who signed it. Good luck with all that.

My logic is simple. UT will not repeat a mistake it made earlier. And UT does not control what Alabama does. Alabama may see Pearl as someone who has paid his dues now and is better than the current coach. UT is still the victim in all this mess and the AD will not be inviting Pearl back into the same house he built and blew up already. If a coaching change comes, it will not be to re-hire Pearl.
Man sports animal is trashing Bruce, what're the recruiting issues after the press conference they're talking about?
Something about illegal contact with some recruits, giving tickets to people, and something about covering up Brian Williams drug test.
And yes, I'm listening to sports animal lol

People kill me that say Bruce got fired for not being honest to the NCAA. The reality is, every coach at some point has lied to the NCAA. Some everytime they open their mouth. Pearl got punished and ultimately fired for telling the truth. In religeous terms, for repenting. For being honest. How many times do we see coaches simply deny even when faced with evidence and get no or little punishment? The NCAA knows theyre no being truthful and are powerless to do anything. Even with the picture evidence Bruce could have done the exact same thing and said it wasent his house. That his assistance misremembered. But instead he thought, you know what, being honest is the right thing to do and if I'm honest it wont be so bad. How many of us teach our children that? But no, the NCAA decided to take out all the frustration they had built up from being lied to and not having any power to dig up evidence on many many coaches over the years and so they slammed the one that was honest. #BBB

Seriously bTo - were you not paying attention back then?
There was a "bump" rule violation towards the end of CBP's last season....
"Giving tickets to people" - one player on the roster was given two additional tickets to the Kentucky - Tennessee game I believe in violation of the NCAA rules on player tickets - however student athlete tickets are handled separately thru another branch of the UT administration - so to put that on CBP is laughable...... the player - hopson I believe was required to pay for the tickets else there would be an improper benefit...
Brian Williams positive drug test - Apparently he tested positive for mary jane and CBP and staff said that he was suspended during the latter part of season for a lower back injury... The fact that the story was leaked by the UT Administration is a violation of HIPAA privacy rights. And the really interesting thing is that the Athletic Director is the first person to be notified of a positive drug test per UT's drug testing policy at the time and the results are supposed to remain private and the UT Admin and coaching staffs are required to keep the information silent! So how and who leaked the information???
I can provide links to the drug testing policy and student athlete ticketing policy within the UT AD but I need a few minutes.
All these things, except the bump violation were released to the media after CBP got fired in order to bolster UT's claims against CBP for his termination in order to quell a fan uprising and to attempt to discredit CBP even more.
