Also one other thing, I've never heard another analyst say 1 negative thing about Butch.

Andre Ware said "just sitting in the same room as Butch Jones, makes you want to grab a helmet and chin strap and run through a wall for that man"

Danny Kanell had glowing things to say about him. Rece Davis was very positive about UT. Thought he did a great job. Even though he played for UGA, David Pollack had great things to say about Butch.

I thought Jeanine Edwards did a great job also. :hi: hats off to her.

Wait til Dari throws his two cents in.. Remember.. The guy who said nc state would destroy us?

He cleared that up the next week by saying, he wasn't sure what to expect of UT because we lost to UK the year before. So I sorta don't really blame him lol

I think Dari's role on College Football is slowly declining....

I've paid particular attention to him since, and have yet to have heard a nice thing he's said about UT

Yeah it's his job to ask questions and give updates not give analysis for something that he's clearly lacking knowledge on. I like Mike Belloti and Robert Smith as well. Solid guys, IMO.

After the sc win he gave TN no credit, just kept saying how spurrier squandered opportunities.

SIAP, but John Brice of VQ got the awesome privilege to hang out with Butch and everybody else in the War Room. He documented and detailed everything.

Brice said while the coaches were eager to get the faxes in, the true main focus was the 2015 and 2016 kids. Brice said, while he was in the War Room for those 5-6 hours, the coaches were able to talk to over 250 '15 and '16 prospects.

Azzanni told him that when Malone committed, he had his position nailed down so from there on out he has been recruiting next year's class every day for essentially 3-4 months now.

I know Thig gets a lot of the recruiting credit (and rightfully so), but I think Elder and Azzanni have done a GREAT job as well. Elder is on the Memphis kids and is responsible for TEs and STs. We signed a top 5 kicker, #1 LS, #2 TE, and Ethan Wolf.

I think Gillespie is really starting to prove himself as well. Getting Hurd, Paulk, and Scott is no fluke. I thought Jay Graham was pretty detailed in his coaching. Well Gillespie is on a different level and that's what it takes at this level.

"You get what you put in".... I think that phrase will depict the efforts of our coaches on the recruiting trail with the results of our upcoming classes. I will admit, I was VERY skeptical of this staff when they were first hired.

I truly believe not one other coaching staff in the world will out-work our staff in anything.

Just my thoughts, post signing day

I have come to the firm conclusion that no one, and I mean NO ONE, will outwork Coach Butch Jones. Are there brighter football minds out there? Remains to be seen. But I repeat, no one will outwork us. And where hard work is, success is soon to follow...

Heres a lil somethin I decided to do yesterday. Finished up today.

Random thoughts watching the highlights back-to-back.

 • We have ourselves a nasty 1-2 punch in Hurd and Scott. Can't tackle Hurd and Scott breaks ankles.

 • We have ourselves a defensive line. Opposing QB won't have any pocket presents cause there won't be any pocket to have presents in.

 • We have our punt and KO returner for the next 4 years.

 • Gavin Bryant is wanted for mass murder.

 • "Air Raid on Mojo" passing attack.

Sounds like CBJ is letting some of those RS JRs know that they'll be making room for a full class in 2015?

Underrated post. That's EXACTLY the message he's sending IMO. I bet several of the graduating RS JRs either transfer or move on to graduate school.

If that happens, he finds a way to sign the limit in 2015. I don't know how. But look at the magic he performed this year with grayshirts and blueshirts and other such Jedi techniques.

By my count and JMO:

I believe the 2013 class was a 50/50 mix of his recruits and Dooley's. That's about 10 Butch-recruited kids. I think he signed 30 this year (not counting grays and blues). If he gets 25 next year (counting grays and blues from 2014), at least 65 of the 85 kids on the roster will be his recruits by the start of the 2015 season, not counting walk-ons.

Did anyone else notice in those highlights how fast everyone is? Geez..automatic upgrade in speed

This. I've said this in the past and been wrong (devrin) though so I'm hesitant to say, but it looks like we actually have upper echelon SEC speed coming in.

Now that the 2014 signing class is in the fold. I think we should start speculating about position changes. Hurd will not stay at RB, likely moves to TE. Creamer will slide over to TE. Coleman Thomas looked rather lean. I see him as a TE in goal line situations. Malone looks pretty big from the pictures I've seen. Does anyone else think he slides over to TE?
