what the heck, this is the game of the week/month/year....

it' doesn't happen too often to have two teams with a combined 15-0 record get together.

thoughts on this game?

i think the Colts are very good. I think the Colts are perfectly capable of winning this game. Being at the Dome is a plus.

but i have yet to see any kind of chink the armour for the Pats. both teams throttled their opponents yesterday, but the Pats have yet to even have a half of football like the Colts had in the 1st half against the Panthers yesterday.

i'm giving the edge to the Pats right now...they're just a freakin' machine. I'm rooting for the Colts in this one, just think the pats are better right now.

Why just this week? I mean think about it, if they beat the Colts is there really a team out there that can beat them? :)

:nono: I'm not a bandwagon fan, I stick with my team the panthers thick and thin. And well its always been thin besides maybe what 2 years.

I just want to see manning go down. I have teams I will cheer against. The cowboys and well this week Manning. So go Pats! :)

How can you be a Vols fan and root against Peyton Manning? He's one of the most famous athletes in the world, and he's from the University of Tennessee... and he's also constantly showing his support for UT. I mean, c'mon...

Manning is better because of his ability to read a D an audible and its not pass to MOSS MOSS MOSS welker, MOSS

I wish they could both lose but since they can't I will pull for Indy. I love Manning because of the UT ties but I hate the Colts because I'm a Titans fan. I hate the Pats more than anybody and I'm getting sick of Boston winning everything. Bill Belichick looks like a bum with his cut off sleeves.

I don't like Peyton, he is famous, but so is Oprah, who cares? Peyton was at UT, but that doesn't mean I go follow him after the fact. It kind of annoys me how he gets everything for nothing. Take for instance last year at the superbowl, before the game even started he was going to be named MVP because he is Peyton Manning. His stats weren't the best and his RB's won the game for him, so I guess handing off the ball instead of fumbling it gets you MVP. I'm happy he did well and got him a ring, but I won't be following him or rooting for him anymore, his time at UT is done.

Yeah, and is Oprah from the University of Tennessee? Good point there.

So... his time at UT is done, so us fans should forsake him. That makes sense. Once a Vol, always a Vol.

Also, sounds like you're a little jealous of Peyton or something. Get over it. He's the best there is... might as well accept it.

Your first point was how Peyton was famous, just as is oprah or anyone else, I could care less about being famous. So yes it was a good point, thanks. :)

Yeah his time is done at UT, that does not mean I am going to follow him. You don't see all of Florida fans going and Following Spurrier because he is at SC now. Same thing can be said for Saban. Same thing can be said for other players or coaches. I follow my teams in current. Thats all I care about.

:eek:lol: That is hilarious. Why would I be jealous of being famous? I could care less about that and his success. Good for him.

Why don't I just not share my opinions anymore? I share my opinions because I have them, its fine to come back and have your own, but don't attack me or say anthing about me. That's just rude.

Why are you so stuck on the famous aspect of it? My point was that he's one of the most famous athletes in the world FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE. If you're not jealous of Peyton Manning's success, then stop acting like you are. It's a helluva lot easier to follow players after they leave your university for the NFL than to follow a former coach of your team in the same conference. Good call on Saban and Spurrier.

What can I say, I guess I'm a rude person. You'll be aight.

Peyton isn't really like Spurrier, and Florida doesn't exactly have a QB they can follow around in the NFL. They've all flamed out and been replaced by people like Brian Griese. I half expect Jesse Palmer at ESPN to end up seeing the analyst bench because Rex Grossman is done in the NFL. Any way, back to my point. Peyton spends a lot of time promoting this University, and he has never shied away from talking about Tennessee. One of my favorite stories about Peyton as a professional occurred at the Pro Bowl. He was walking with the other players to practice and caught a little boy in Tennessee gear and walked past everyone asking for his autograph and right up to the boy. Signed his stuff, and said Go Vols.
