It's easy to hide behind the Bible so your ugly feelings aren't so exposed. The only problem is most of us see right past that veil..![]()
I pray for them also...all I can do...also, who is Focusing? I just replied in a thread...just like you, apparently trying to focus on me and my sins
Who is hiding? Not me, I am against homosexuality...I am against homosexuals getting married...I pray for their souls and that's all I can do...call me a bigot, I don't really care...I live my life now according to The Lord and his teachings and I only worry about his judgment of me, not what the world thinks of me...
I respect your religious views, but it grates me when I hear people bring up the sin part of homosexuality when their own sin is on the same level. Worry about yourself and be against something, but this whole "the gays are going to wipe all us white Christians out" is ridiculous. How in the world do you think you should have a right to certain benefits of a marriage from the state and exclude someone else because they swing from the other side.
Does the new testament talk about homosexuality? Because, as I understand it, only the Old Testament does, and I can guarantee you that you don't observe a lot of what's in the Old Testament.
Also, Jesus never advocated morality through force of government.

Paul references it several times in the New Testament.
I don't believe it says the WORD homosexuality...I believe it says that a man to lay with a man or a woman with a woman is an abomination(paraphrasing bc I don't know the EXACT wording, but that is very close). But it is in the New Testament...one of the only times that the word Abomination is used and it is addressing homosexuality...
Edit: thanks GaVol, I thought it was in there...I know you aren't defending me, but thanks for the response
