'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

IF he turns out to be as successful in college football as his current 5 star status has him in high school football then I don't expect him to be at whatever school he picks for more than 3 years.

Agree.
Realistically though I don't see his parents driving to every game unless they're seriously that dedicated. Making a 14 hour round trip drive every weekend isn't feasible for most people. Regardless, UT is still the closest school to his home town.

He has already said that his parents are moving to whatever state he chooses to play in.. so they likely will be at all his home games

Sounds like we need a none booster in East Tennessee to donate some property to the Jackson family.

Rivals -

...Sarkisian's true measure - wins and losses - is yet to be determined. But the new USC coach has a chance to thrill the fan base with a big National Signing Day - and there's a good chance things could go in the Trojans' favor with the top California prospects.

The tippy-top of the list might be the most difficult, as five-star athlete Adoree' Jackson is still so tough to read and is giving no hints as to where his recruitment is headed.

Sources say Jackson's family back in Illinois would prefer him closer to home - and that favors Tennessee and Florida in a big way. The Volunteers and Gators have put in tremendous work trying to sway Jackson to the SEC and location - along with their track programs - could be a big selling point for both.

According to another source, USC is not willing to give an inch in his recruitment, though. Jackson is being heavily and aggressively pursued by the new coaching staff and they even traveled to Illinois for an in-home visit last week.

Serra has been a sort of USC pipeline recently with Robert Woods, Geroge Farmer, Marqise Lee, and in this recruiting cycle, Jalen Greene is going there. But Jackson is unique because he's not a lifelong L.A. kid, so circumstances are different.

Still, USC is right in the mix for him even though the SEC schools might have a slight edge in the closing weeks before signing day. Jackson still has one official visit to schedule and it very well could be to USC.

Starting to believe we may actually pull this off.

I'm not sure Adoree knows for sure where he wants to sign right now. I'm pretty sure the family favors UT though.

A 3-4 year lease on a nice townhouse with a river view is a bargain now a days for a top level recruit. With churches being renovated all over alabama, sometimes you need to go all in. :loco:

We get this kid he will lock down another corner spot with Cam. Also will be a dynamic punt returner. Our return game would be nasty with Adoree' taking care of punts and Warthon handling kickoffs

Well Jimmy Hyams said he doesn't think we really have a shot this morning so it's over............. I was shocked that Hyams had a negative outlook on this one, usually he is so positive when it comes to UT.

Well, if Hyams says no, we will likely have him starting for us this fall.

Hyams gets his info from Hubbs, and Hubbs has said repeatedly the he thinks the Vols are in it until the end but ultimately Adoree goes elsewhere.

The only thing Jimmy Hyams knows about recruiting is what he hears Brent Hubbs say on Thursdays from 5 to 6pm when Hubbs is sitting beside him.

Early reports believe his decision will be televised live from Lids

Lids? Unless it is a Lids in Knoxville, they will have to special order a UT hat, just to have one to show we're one of his finalists.

I havent seen a UT hat in Lids outside of Knoxville in...well...ever.

I could go more in depth, but PForts update is nearly identical to mine and prety spot on. Let me say that there are a few more reasons to feel good about this one that havent been discussed that in my opion weigh in our favor. Still a long ways till NSD though.

@Rivals: Jackson shut down best WRs and had INT in Under Armour game. Scary he might be better on offense. Stud all over field @adamgorney #Rivals100

And the coaches continue to worry about LSU. Apparently some one on one time with Adoree at his high school has him really considering the bayou bengals.
