Major fail by Amazon

Then they should notify the customer if service will be affected. Either when the order is placed and money is exchanged or once they realize there are issues. When the order is placed means little
I'm sure that their legal departments have posted somewhere in fine print about delays or acts of God or something of that sort. I'm sure if anyone of took the time to search out any of these retailers' or carriers' shipping agreements that they cover themselves in situations like this, no matter what the suggested or anticipated shipping time is.

try this, why dont you wait until all of the holidays are over, order something and see if it isnt there in 4 days or less. Then you will know what a dumb**** you are for ordering something 4 days before you need it in the midst of the busiest shipping season of the year.

No, I understand fully. Millions if not billions of packages are shipped through Amazon and yours accidentally slipped through the cracks because they've been overbooked. You're still over reacting.

Imagine the if 1 million packages were shipped out that weekend and 10,000 people didn't get their packages sent in time for Christmas... that is a 99% success rate. Yet, instead of us focusing on the 990k that had no issues, we instead focus on the 10k that were inconvenienced...

Yeah, because when unpredictability happens, they can predict it. Genius.

Not what I said at all. They took the money and agreed to the deadline. When it became evident they couldn't meet that they should let the customer know. Every company deals with something like this from time to time and should know how to handle it.

We're at 6. But hey, you still can't grasp the point. So what does it matter.

That's a little too simple don't you think?

I know, common sense has little place in a world where everybody expects everyone else to be perfect and are outraged when everything doesn't go exactly as planned. I would hate to be a waiter at a restaurant with customers like you. Do you pitch a fit if the food is a little late or if everything isn't cooked exactly like you want it?

I have not pitched a fit I'm just saying it could have been handled better.

In a restaurant if my order is screwed up I let someone know. Who doesn't?

He and some others have failed to even get the original post.

lol. No, you've failed to realize how bad you look. Everyone gets it's a bad deal and it sucks your order hasn't shipped (and quite honestly could have gotten lost). Everyone realizes companies should keep their guarantees. But most that have posted have actual REAL WORLD experience, and know full well how businesses really work, thus knowing mistakes happen. And you just have to step up and overcome them.

Some though just whine and moan and then make fun of those who disagree with their whining and moaning.

Some just make fun of others for no good reason.

Some act five years old.

One even acts like all three of these scenarios.

You mean my original post where I showed no signs of anger? And asked if anyone else had my issue. My issue was not necessarily late delivery by FedEx. I know that part is still difficult for you.

Some obsess over people on a message board.

A people's true character is revealed when they have to deal with service industry (I would consider this holiday debacle with the retailers & shippers to be service industry related). Americans are just spoiled brats, I'm sorry. Makes me sick to my stomach to know that we actually have people crying in their pillows because their widgets and bric-a-brac didn't come in precisely when they wanted it to.

If you do so before you are done you are asking for trouble. Please tell me you have never sent food back.

lol, can't even read. And I'm not just talking about your first post. I'm talking about 20+ since. I realize that's really, REALLY hard for you to understand. You've made more than one post here and several others have made a group assessment of your actions based on ALL your posts here.

Is assessment too big of a word for you? (see how it is to belittle others?)
