The silence coming out of the visit last night is extremely worrisome. VQ clearly didn't speak with him after the visit and I have a hard time believing they didn't try to reach him.
Unless we here from vq and he has reiterated his commitment to them I am considering this one a likely loss on Wednesday.
Just because you want them to call him late at night doesn't mean they will. It also Sunday morning. Most people out of respect wait. Either way lets not be bipolar every hour
When you have paying customers that want info on recruiting you will call at hours of the night. Especially in a situation like this.
We will find out Wednesday for sure, but I'm with Bruin here. Lots to be worried about. You don't allow coaches from another team into your home just days before signing with the team your committed to if you are not considering that school.
Missing on Reed really hurt. Now if Lambert flips it will suck.
Paying customers mean you have an obligation to call a 19 year old kid late on a Saturday night? Interesting.
If you were paying a monthly subscription to get recruiting info wouldn't you want more information on recruits? You can't get that info if BH, PF, etc aren't calling and interviewing recruits.
Definitely some FF guys getting on here now. I think he will be a VOL. We need him but if we don't get him or get him, we will not be a top ten team next year regardless. Staff will just have to keep building. You want info to be cut off from VQ then have them calling recruits at 2 am just for you.
Given our recent luck in head-to-head recruitments against Auburn, 55-23, and 5-7 vs 12-1, I think there's a good chance they've flipped him.
Jones cannot afford to lose D-line commits right now.
Neither of these things will have a big reflection on his decision. We have a much better situation for a JUCO player
I don't get this thinking at all. It's very hard to think the kid will only look at the depth chart and not a chance to play for a national title. Besides auburn loses 2 and maybe 3 of their starting DL. It wouldn't be hard to convince a highly rated juco kid he could play immediately with those departures on the DL and win at a higher level than us
That thinking is obvious for a two or maybe even one year player. It also helps that we have a defensive line coach who has put guys into the NFL. Obviously, guys don't make a decision based on any one thing, but that is a big one for JUCO players.
