I've played soccer bro, and I've ran a mile in 4 mins 50 secs. I'm more of the endurance athlete suited to that sport. I just didn't like it. I was decently fast for a sprinter as well. I was more of an all around athlete rather than a star in one area.

Bajakian candidate for Bowling Green head coaching vacancy

No way!!! I know that some of you are probably wanting him to take it, but in actuality, this is the last thing that we need right now. We really need some coaching stability, and that starts with keeping this staff completely intact for at least another year. I really hope he turns it down.

Do you even lift bro?

I'm kidding.

For the record, I don't care if people like or dislike soccer.

But to say there aren't athletes in professional soccer is just dumb and most likely someone is either A) trying to get a rise out of someone or B) straight ignorant

Strawman argument. Nobody said they weren't athletes.

Missed the point about the gigantic size of the kettle.

I'm sure ratios aren't far apart. You are measuring incorrectly. Of course soccer is going to have more incidents as it is higher in quantity and area of popularity. Than the south east US. You should first figure out the proper measurement before picking the kettle.

I know people are down on Bajakian, but he is going to do amazing things with this offense. Him leaving would be bad bad bad.

I'm probably ignorant. Btw I don't think there aren't great athletes. I think there aren't "freak athletes". There aren't CP's that can cut faster than anyone I've ever seen, there isn't a 6'8" 275 lb guy that is as fast as a 6" 200 lb guy, there isn't someone like Julio Jones who can probably jump higher than two soccer players combined, etc. if they had those kind of guys, it would be more popular IMO.

You make a lot of great points and I agree - the freak athletes, for the most part, and in the NFL and NBA.

The jumping part though - lots of big time jumpers in professional soccer.

If the U.S. National team played a hand-picked team of the greatest non-Soccer playing athletes in America, there is no limit on how bad the National team would win. With no understanding of angles or defending, and no offensive skill at all, there would be no chance of them even scoring.

Agreed.

This. It'd be over prior to half time.

Well at least we agree on something.

I actually enjoyed playing soccer when I did. Maybe one day soccer can get some of these Julio's and CPs growing up to stick and work on their craft and change the game.
