I cannot stand Ohio State and Urban Meyer...

But I am sick of watching other SEC teams win titles.

Best case scenario is Michigan State beats OSU and Florida State beats Auburn.

I hate having a guy just stand there and expecting him to absorb a hit from someone with a 10-15 yard head start.

Coming into this weekend, I think our Vols finished 79th in Scoring Defense and 94th in Scoring Offense in the NCAA stats. IIRC this was approx 75 spots and close to 11 points worse per game on offense and about 25-30 spots and around 4-5 points better on defense. Yet, the W/L record was the same.

Seems to me that suggests that besides the difficulty of the schedule, the best way to improve your record is by getting significantly better on D. With the players committed that Butch & staff plan to bring in it would appear that things could get significantly better reasonably soon. That is encouraging when looking at the big picture.

Mich State's defense is terrific. Anybody care to do a star comparison between their defense and our defense this year? I suspect our athletes are comparable to Mich State's kids or better (at least on paper).

It's funny how people reference star rating of teams and kids when it's convenient. Yet when the outcome of the evaluation doesn't suit their objective, the star ratings are useless.

I think D'Antonio is a terrific coach.

I'm no SEC supremacist (of course it's the best conference though, and its not close), but Auburn deserved in whether OSU lost or not. Glad Urbz finally got that loss
