I respectfully disagree. I think arrogance, entitlement, "I can get away with just about anything" attitude runs higher than the general population. Who can blame them? Heroes all get a pass here in Amurica.

All aren't like that. I agree there are quite a few out there with this mindset. But in the Winston case this isn't a true statement.

I am fighting optimism big time. I feel like Butch has redshirted key folks,bringing in key juco players, and some immediate impact playmakers (many EE).

Can Butch put us in the black in 2014?

I'm a POS but the dude wasn't charged. You don't think the football teams have groupies? The women who are trying to bank big off the next NFL player?

But I guess that's not real in your world huh? You want to call me a POS when cases like this have gone bad and dude did 16 years for a woman crying rape wrongfully. Man get out of here. The kid didn't do it but I guess now it was a cover up. Smh lol

Agree. This thread is like the FF and the RF all rolled into one without the craziness. All of the main stuff from the FF still gets talked about here as well as all the recruiting info. For those that like following both, this is the place to be.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't always have time to post, but I have to stay up to date in this thread or I feel like I'm missing something. Like jay said, you know everything that's going on with Vol football as well as recruiting right here.

I wanna give a shout out to JMoore for starting this thread (10 whole threads ago! wow, lotta ups and downs) and the mods for letting us keep it. Thanks, Freak. :good!:

Also, shout out to whoever came up with the recruiting tweets thread (sry, idk who gets credit for that but thanks). I haven't been on twitter since the thread was started bc all I used it for was to see everything that's now in that thread. I admit, I get excited every time I see that thread bumped lol. :rock:

Thanks to Wu, OCI, Leb, Ron, TriCities, and the many others I'm forgetting, you know who you are(sry, memory sucks), for keeping the commits/targets, recruiting rankings, and all the other individual threads updated like y'all do. :salute:

POA, the runaway rookie of the year winner, big thanks to you as well for taking the time to do the weekly recruiting update threads every Monday, which may not be possible without the help of the above mentioned and others. For someone like me who hasn't been able to keep up with each individual recruit as much as I did in the past that thread has been great. I'm quite sure it has been helpful to a lot of others also. :eek:k:

We have our agreements and disagreements, but in the end we're all VFL's (well, mostly) and we all have the same thing in common, our passion for the Big Orange. I think this forum represents more of what the real UT fan base is about. I often feel embarrassed by some of the stupid comments and overblown reactions that come out of the FF. Here, not so much.

Thanks again to everyone that contributes to my addiction to this site lol. It's very much appreciated. I've spent many hours on this site through some good times and even more bad times like many of you have and I still enjoy it. Just think how fun it's gonna be these next few years (hopefully) when there are so many more good times than bad.

Lastly, once/if we make it back to the top, let's not forget these last 6 or so years and how far we've actually fallen. Let's not take it for granted anymore (like what bammers seem to be doing since saban got there). When/if we get there, let's try to remember yesterday(12/4/13). Remember the feeling you had when our 2nd 5* instate recruit, in an already star studded class, committed to UT. Remember that feeling of disbelief, excitement, and realization that we are finally rising from the basement of the SEC despite only winning 5 games again this season. We don't belong there, and although I hope to not see it again, I know I won't forget what the bottom feels like. I hope none of you do either. V,B! GBO! VFL!

Again, how do you know 'the kid didn't do it'? The DA decided there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute. That doesn't mean the player didn't do it. Present your evidence related directly to this case proving his innocence.

I stated from the beginning I didn't believe he did it. I've dealt with members of his family and trust his upbringing to the fullest. The way he's been his whole life(never in trouble smart kid) this goes completely against how he rolls period. Also goes against the values he was taught. Then the kid himself is extremely level headed and humble. Everyone here that knows J-boo as they call him were extremely surprised at these allegations. But justice was served IMO. I hope he learns a life lesson with this case and how people are taking aim at you.

Now you'll say I don't have proof and that's fine but unless there's blatant proof he did it I believe that she was crying wolf.

Agreed. At the beginning of the season, I thought we had a decent enough roster to win 7 games. I didn't realize how bad the talent on our roster was until now. I think the people who want a coaching change need to understand just how bad the talent on our roster is, and that Butch is off to a good start in upgrading the talent on our team. I believe 2014 will be a 6-7 win season with a possible 8 if we upset someone. Next season will also tell us how good of a coach Butch and his staff is. If we don't make a bowl next year, then I will start to really question whether Butch is the guy for us.
