Yep. Sounds like he had to do that to lessen the worry after the vandy game.

I wouldn't read too much into other that just finding a way to get the recruiting job finished. I like Fergy and think he is the future but IMO the staff isn't just going to hand the job over to him

I posted earlier that i thought this might scream volumes about who our starting QB may be next season

I don't think Butch will just hand the job over to anyone, but when do you show film of a backup to a receiver unless you think he has the skill sets to be the next qb

While I think Fergy is the guy I really think it was just doing what it took to win. Malone was genuinely worried about our QB situation and our coaches played the you haven't seen our best one card whether it was true or not

Expecting big things out of North next year. Add Pearson, Croom, Pig, etc. we should have a solid group.

I agree. I know that more weapons at WR will help any of the 4 QB's, but I have to admit I will be disappointed if Fergs doesn't eventually win the job outright. I've seen enough of the other 3. Jmo

That's possible, but CBJ and staff are going to have an irked WR if he's been mislead. My guess is that the film demonstrated to Malone that Ferguson is the future.
