I haven't heard anything except Tennessee all last night and this morning.

Well it is a lot more inclusive considering Appalachian Americans come in all colors and always have. Even Middlesboro, KY which has a Jewish cemetery as well as Catholic, Native American, and other 'mixed' roots that stretch back to its very founding and later was racist as all get out back in the day integrated their hospital due to a coal mining accident. The miners came out black after a collapse and all of them were transported to the 'white' hospital. When it was eventually discovered that one of the patients was black his fellow miners made it clear their would be hell to pay if he were transferred and stopped it. It's been integrated ever since.

And that's not accounting for the black and part black Melungeons in E. TN who managed to gain an exception to Jim Crow laws allowing them to vote and have all the rights of 'white' folks or the long history of black Appalachians in places like Claiborne County. E. TN was considered the freest place in the entire Union to speak of abolition and had the very first paper dedicated to it (that includes all of the US and did so BEFORE the North). It's always been different.

But back to Malone... Appies gonna App. We love our football no matter our color. :)

I gave you a big like for this response. Being 5th generation up here, I am well versed in the diverse cultures that make up our heritage. My father was Scotch/Irish and my mother ½ Cherokee.

I was raised to embrace folks no matter of cultural differences, race or religion. There’s a lot of good people in this world and also a bunch of A-holes, but race and dialect are not an indicator of either.

Be Safe,

Hubbs on 104.5 says nothing at all this morning when asked about Malone. More of the same

VB!!

Thought he actually said he thought UT built back up some pretty good momentum over the weekend and some suspect that a very good visit to Clemson for Josh maybe seems to have worn off a bit.

Then I thought he went into "It's Josh's big day, his announcement so I'm not gonna give anything away one way or another" mode.

I almost wish he had considered LSU for a while just so I could bust the out the "Josh Maleauxne" jokes.

Agree 100%. ***** move by Clemson's coaching staff.

Trying to stay grounded. I remember signing day '13 when Schlabagh leaked Bell would choose TN 30 min before he announced. I still believe CUM leaked the info to make a bigger surprise/splash when bell picked up that ugly red hat

Yes he did. Sorry for the confusion. He just restated what he already has said.

Tennessee was the only staff contacted by Josh today. This should be taken as a good sign. He plans on contacting other coaches tomorrow after his announcement.

I am afraid this post has been lost in the shuffle and just wanted to bring it back
