I think he picks Clemson. Seems like he's just looking for a reason to play out of state. First it's UGA, then FSU, now Clemson. I'm sure he's got nothing against UT... just wants to go somewhere else. Can't really fault him or our staff if that's the case. I think the only thing that has kept us in contention is the fact that we've made him such a priority and clearly this staff has been relentless in the pursuit of Malone... Malone has listened because he feels he owes it to the state's school.... TK, Vic, Hurd, D. Barnett being in his ear has helped keep UT in the top 2/3 as well... but sadly i think that's where we finish, the worng end of the top 2,
I'll be shocked if he picks UT tomorrow. :twocents:
Hurd at RB has to be attractive to WRs right? I don't think josh would care as much about next year as the next 3. Having North on the other side and Hurd bringing people in the box has to be a good selling point.
Hopefully Mosley's brick is put at the bottom. Don't want to crush the bricks already in place.
i hate to see the meltdown in here! if we do not get him.
Yes. Do you remember the recruitment of Hurd, Kelly, Helm, McDowell, Bates, Hendrix, Lambert, Mouhon, Payne, Blair, Gaulden, and Barnett?
I disagree with this reasoning and here is why. He is very close with his family and his dad is a huge Vols fan. We are not talking about being a fan of a mid-major here. We are talk about the Vols. Even in down years, we are still a top tier program. If I am as close to my dad as everyone says Josh is to his and my dads favorite team is the Vols and I had a chance to play for my dads favorite team, I would period. I would expect the same out of my son. There are not any reasons why I would do different.

Knew it was a matter of time before a lot of posters started trending negative on their thoughts for tomorrow.
I really like what we're hearing. Think about it:
-Rivals guy (Woody Wommack) close to the recruitment thinks it's close, but Vol
-247 guy (JC Shurburtt) (100% on predictions this year, mind you) is "firmly convinced" he's a Vol
-Barton Simmons, who covers middle TN recruiting for all of 247, thinks Malone will be a Vol
-UT Rivals/247 sites continue to say "Tennessee has pulled out all the stops"
-QB's are a factor and we are selling him on Riley Ferguson, who is every bit as proven as Deshaun Watson, except Ferguson has had a year to practice in our system, where Watson isn't even at Clemson until January.
Tennessee makes too much sense here.
A couple things here from a Clemson side of things.
-Watson will not be the favorite to start next year. He probably has a better chance of redshirting than starting, IMO.
-Stoudt would have started for Tenn this past year, and if healthy, I believe Chad Kelly would have too.
-Ferguson might even have a better career than Watson, but you are missing the point if you think that is what matters. The fact is that Malone has bought into Watson (and our QB situation for that matter), and hasn't bought into Tenn's. Rather it plays out that way or not, on Dec 3rd 2013 he doesn't believe our QB situation are even.
Again, this doesn't mean I think he selects Clemson. Tenn has a lot of things in their favor, and I won't believe he won't end up there until I see it.
Luckily we'll all know tomorrow. I'll wish him the best of luck regardless of which way he goes, as I admire how him and his family has handled his recruitment.
