thanks for the shoutout. i think we get 7 or 8 wins next year.

QB play will be better - more time in the system, S&C, maturity
RB play will be about the same or slightly better - we lose Neal, but we get Pickett and Hurd. More S&C for Lane
TE play will be about the same - although if Helm gets some play, it could help our receiver corps
WR play will improve drastically - All receivers return and will have more time in the system and S&C. Guys that took a redshirt this year will also be available (like Jenkins and Harris). We get good receivers in like Pearson, Creamer, Wharton, Booth and hopefully Malone
OLine play - everyone else seems to think we will have a huge dropoff, I dont. We didnt have great Oline play this year. I think itll be about the same, or a slight drop. We do get some good guys in, like Blair and Thomas. Its a possibility that Tiny comes back.
FB play - i wish

DLine play will be about the same or slightly better - once again, people seem to think we will have a huge dropoff, and I dont. Our Dline was pretty lackluster this year. We lose some guys like Smith, Miller and McCullers. But Vereen will be a sophomore and we get some great guys in. JUCOs like Lambert and Williams. Dline will be faster.
LB play will be better - possibility that AJ comes back. Maggitt will be healthy. JUCO Weatherd comes in. Amazing freshmen coming in (Bates, Bryant, Johnson, Mouhon). I think our LB corps will be faster, which is what we need. More JRM
DB play will be better - all of our starters return. more time in S&C. Each guy will be more mature. Riyahd will be healthy. We get good guys in (Payne, Kelly, McDowell, Moseley, Gaulden)

Kicking - not sure
Returning will be better - we will have better return guys next year.

Overall, I think we will be better. We will have faster guys playing, and I think that what we need.

EDIT: forgot to add, it helps that the teams we play are losing their stars. almost every starting QB in the SEC will be gone next year

I pretty much agree with all of this. We desperately need the juco's to make an immediate impact. All of them being EE's should help with that.

I'm not ready to put a win total on next year but, I will say this, Butch was 4-8 in his first year at Cincy and 10-3 in his second. He has a system that has been proven to work. I wouldn't be too surprised if we did win 7-8 or possibly more.

His quotes from an article someone posted a few days ago basically saying this offseason will be a grind and he's gonna find the players that will give their all for Tennessee and weed out the rest was very encouraging to me. I think the more of his players that come in and replace the others that have been Dooley'd the better off we'll be.

Didn't think he could transfer within the SEC without sitting out two years. Unless Saban releases him to wherever, which won't happen, but I don't know if it's still multiple years if he would release him with no limitations

He could go Juco a year since he already lost redshirt.

That would allow him to play and then go whereever he wanted by just going to 1 semester of Juco.

The way Bama fans are melting down over one loss, if I was Saban, I'd go to Texas.

I knew the meltdown would be epic if they lost. I'm just taking it all in enjoying every second of it :)

Those idiots have no idea how good they have it. Saban has created a monster and I wouldn't blame him if he left.

How our schedule shook out:

Austin Peay 0-12 Won
WKU 8-4 Won
@Ore 10-2 Lost
@FL 4-8 Lost
USA 5-6 Won (They have one more game to play)
UGA 8-4 Lost in OT
USCe 10-2 Won
@AL 11-1 Lost
@MO 11-1 Lost
AU 11-1 Lost
VD 8-4 Lost
KY 2-10 Won

Looking back I think the best we probably could have done was to squeeze out maybe 3 more games (FL, UGA, VD). It was our misfortune to face FL's defense at it's finest and to be in the midst of a QB shuffle. I think Murray's career long run was the back breaker in the UGA game and I'm still shaking my head about Vandy. With next year's team I think we could have gotten those 3 games but therein I'm obviously making a few assumptions regarding the most elite of our incoming talent and their preparedness to make an early impact and of course we should be aided by the return of Marcus Jackson and Curt Maggitt. The biggest improvement for next year's much younger roster may be losing the necessity to rely on walkons just to field a somewhat competent team. #Team118

He can go wherever he wants if he pays his own way. Would have to sit the first year if he did not drop down a division.

Evident from the tweet that he wants to come here... or at least that is how I read it...

What is going on at Bama ... Saban to Texas maybe ?

Really only 1 reason to play for him. NFL. If you cant get on the field might as well transfer. Pretty sure NS hoards talent to keep it out of conference and eventually somethings gotta give.

The Bear did the same thing there for years.... I hope we can pick Him up... would fit well with our system imo, and the friendship with Croom doesn't hurt

its like they say, "keep your friends close but your enemies closer"

edit: yes i am implying that nick saban is your enemy, kamara. get yo butt over here where youll be appreciated and utilized

Are there others than Kamara talking about leaving? They've already had recruits decommiting? haha please be true

one of their receivers was talking about leaving before the season, but ended up staying. i think it might have been Norwood. i also think i remember seeing a QB wanting out, but im not sure it was Bama. and yes, they had 2 decommits over the past week and a half, and Hamilton might flip to AU
