I get an error as soon as the main menu comes up then the game shuts down and I get sent back to the ps menu.

You can usually log out and log back in and it will overwrite your game save. Otherwise you can delete the actual game save. Too big of a pain for me. I like the game but I'm done until the bugs get worked out.

i picked up NFS rivals yesterday. i am enjoying it so far. beautiful graphics and the gameplay is good as well.

From looking at comparisons the PS4 is taking the cake for me right now. The technology of the whole system seems like it has advanced where as xbox appears to have essentially upgraded the internals and that is about it.

First opinions?

You know, one feature of the PS4 that I'm really digging is the audio speaker in the controller! It really does add a new dimension to the sound! I was playing Killzone last night and I encountered an audio recording that I had to listen to. The recorded message actually came through my controller, giving me the impression that I had literally picked up a device with a pre recorded message and was listening to it.

I love it. The interface is just blah but I enjoy everything else. I really like the controller.

Hardwise I think the PS4 takes the cake. Software wise they still have a long way to go. They have so many things that feel like in a year or 2 with updates could be really good (for example while voice commands work perfect, it is about useless because it is so limited). Listening to Gaintbomb today it seems the X1 has some issues as expected, but they really took a big step forward media wise.

Still for both it is about the future promise. I just hope Sony follows through on many of these promises.

I almost wish I could take Sony's hardware and controller, and put the X1 OS on it. Still Sony's OS is not that bad, but it needs to be fleshed out. They need to make progress every year with it.

For me, the xbox software is almost a negative. I don't need ESPN Netflix cable tv ect. I use my console for gaming, on a gaming monitor with gaming headset.

If I were to use it more for media, or blue ray, or plugged into my big screen with surround sound I guess the X1 would be more attractive to me. I think my biggest fear is that the new PS+ will still be no where near the online experience as xbox live in terms of gameplay and stability. If it is stable playing the designed games that is really all that matters to me. Fingers crossed.

I am happy to report that PSN so far has a done a great job. Considering the sold over a million in 24 hours it held up a lot better than I thought it would. Downloads are also faster.

That said trophies still have to sync. Really Sony? Urg...

Also it sucks that true suspend-mode isn't available yet, but is coming future update.

Overall system is sleek and quite. Visuals on games are really mind blowing.I like the controller alot besides my R1 is sticking already from all the spotting i do on BF4. Dont understand the other guys like of the speaker in the controller that doesnt do anything for me. The network cant handle BF4 at all,also i dont think the party thing they are trying works well either. Hearing my squad members even though they arent in party is weird. I aslo cant join a party with my son because once that happens no one can here us but we hear each other. I think the interface sucks it is light years behind even the 360. They need to make a few changes but overall a nice system.

I have the camera, and so far Playroom is nothing more than a tech demo. After you play with it one time, it is useless. That said I heard Double Fine is doing something for Playroom in the future.

It adds a level of immersion to the games that use it. I already cited the example with Killzone but there are others. Resogun takes advantage of it. My wife plays the game "Flower" and she said she can hear the wind blowing through the speaker which adds to the sound of the game. There are others, some more subtle than others.

I also really like the touch pad on the controller. It's very intuitive and not hard to use at all. Killzone and Trine 2 both take great advantage of it. Both it and the audio speaker are just neat little additions that the Xbone's controller doesn't offer.
