So...basically what you're saying is that QB is, practically speaking, the ONLY place the Titans don't need help.

Basically, yes.

Idk if I would say they don't need help there, I thought Locker looked really really good the first four games of the season and against SF and the 2 minute drive against SD was beautiful. The injuries suck. you look at the most valuable QBs in the league and they never go out of the game and Fitzpatrick is just not very good.

I would just prioritize at least 6 positions and a coaching staff ahead of a QB. Only way I would take one this year is because there are a lot of good candidates. Then again, next year there could be just as many with Blake Bortles, Bryce Petty, Jameis, Braxton Miller, Mariota, etc. some of those guys are bound to be in next year's class and some of them will pan out to be just as good as this class.

I don't think Franklin did either. He was holding up one finger as if to signal to his team go for one. Did he think they got a TD for returning that blocked ep?

Lol!! I saw that, too. I was thinking...what in the world is he doing? You don't kick an extra point after a blocked extra point.

I've followed football since I was born and didn't know you could convert a blocked PAT to a defensive 2 point score.

In the NFL you can't. Any time the defense gains possession of the ball on a PAT or 2 pt attempt, the play is dead. But in college, you can return it and get 2 if you score.

A safety on a PAT attempt counts for 1 point.

It would be hard for someone to get a safety on a PAT, Has that ever happened?

A college arm is much different from a NFL arm. Have to be able to throw NFL routes, i.e. 15-20 yard outs from other hash mark.

Yeah and I sat and watched him throw a 15 yard out from the other hash. I was 17 rows from the field and the play was right in front of me. He threw it 30-35 yards on a rope. It's of my opinion that if Murray doesn't make it in the pro's it won't be for lack of arm. And yes I've seen everyone from Tony Robinson to Peyton Mannjng to Eric Zier come thru Neyland. Not to mention the people I've seen in Morgantown as I follow WVU too. The Glen Foley's, Michael Vick, Tony Sacca (Penn St), Todd Blackledge, Jeff Hostetler, Major Harris, Alex Van Pelt....I could go on and on.

Again, it's of my opinion the ball comes out of Aaron Murray's hand like a rocket, very much NFL like. Now his size and ability to choke in big games is more a concern to me. And I'll readily admit.....going into this year's UT/UGA game I had my concerns about Murray as a pro prospect. But I left that game with a FAR greater level of respect.

It is clear that Vandy is living on Turnovers right now...all the more reason for us to be run heavy against them

Agreed. They are very opportunistic these days. JF's entire tenure there has been defined by being opportunistic.

These games with Vandy and UK will be tough for us. With a few notable exceptions, I'm no longer certain we are significantly more talented than either of these teams. We will find out soon.

How in the hell did we play such a great defensive game against SC, when we've sucked against all other top 10 opponents? Has anyone figured that out yet?

Starting to look like an anomaly

unfortunately, I agree. This version of the Vols does not have significant talent advantage over VU/KY...that's why we need to put pressure on the areas we are more talented. Our running game specifically.
