'14 TN DB Rashaan Gaulden (UT Signee 2/5/14)

watched video. kids got a lot of talent...despite playing questionable teams. he will make a great safety iyam

"Independence clinched second place in District 11-AAA and prepared for the start of the playoffs with a 37-13 rout of Brentwood on Friday night. . . . Rashaan Gaulden caught a short pass over the middle, broke three tackles and dashed 46 yards into the end zone to give Independence (7-3, 5-1) an early 7-0 lead. Gaulden caught four passes in the first half for 96 yards and two touchdowns. . . . Gaulden capped the scoring with a 75-yard interception return in the fourth quarter.

"I love catching touchdown passes," Gaulden said, "but nothing compares to a pick-six. The ball tipped right into my hands and I was able to elude a couple of tackles and take it in." Gaulden, who has committed to the University of Tennessee as a safety, has three interception returns for touchdowns this season" (Independence ends Brentwood's playoff hopes).

A lifelong friend of mine coaches at Brentwood. He's a huge UT fan as well. He just said how great Wharton is but that Gaulden was special. Just the combo of size height and speed.

Nothing we don't already know just adding what he said

We could use him tonight against Mizzou. Can't wait to get some speed at the safety position. And some more brains.

We lack a ton of talent at the safety position. They take literally the worse angles on running and screen plays in the sec. They give up a TD every game that no other secondary would give up it seems. Gaulden seems like the perfect fit for us
