'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I was at the LSU Florida game and it was the most underwhelming experience I have had at a college football game. I was disappointed by the lack of noise. Very quiet for such a hyped place.

He had to be. I'm glad Clifton was at that game also. The stadium was 85% full for a big time game and was very quiet. LSU fans were sitting near us telling other LSU fans how bad they sucked. A nice LSU fan in front of me said it only gets loud at night games. Everyone was complaining about the heat. It was a dead environment.

I know it's a big "IF" on pulling Jackson but anyone that hasn't seen the YouTube video where this kid dunks in blue jeans doesn't appreciate what a freaky athlete he is---he's high caliber.

Do you have the link to the video? When I searched for it on Youtube all I found were dozens of amazing football highlights.

so 247 is predicting Florida. I understand it's been wrong a lot of times, but so has Volnation. Can anyone suggest any substantial evidence (other than guts) why Adoree will choose us?

If we win out, then there is no longer any doubt that CBJ's coaching has taken hold on this program and the proverbial corner has indeed been turned. THAT is what I think it will take to swing Jackson and Garrett.

I'd say his dad coming here on a UOV, and Tennessee being not far from his home state is good evidence. The mere fact the kid is coming here for the Auburn game---I mean if he wasn't interested he wouldn't come back. Hubbs has said he will be here for that game.

Gotta hope he makes it in next week and that he is completely blown away. A packed, rowdy stadium and a win would be nice.

Even with all of those things its going to be tough landing him. But if he makes the trip we have a chance.

Given the fact that Tony Robinson will return as the "Vol Legend" for the Auburn game, the crowd will positively erupt when reliving the video highlights of his masterful performance (1985) against the then no. 1-ranked Auburn Tigers. That will provide some extremely high-octane fuel for the crowd as they lend support to our team's efforts on the field.

Didn't he say he would'nt OV anywhere that he has already visited then turned around and set up this visit to the Auburn game? That has to be cause for some optimism.

Has he set up any other visits with places he's already been like UT?

since there is nothing but single seats, I think we can guarantee that, win or lose.

By the second start of his career, Dobbs will have had the playbook expanded past anything we observed with Worley....it'll be like watching a sports car open up...jmo :aggressive:

Yeah....I think the staff will look bad for not having given one of the Freshmen some playing time before now...to at least SEE what we got to work with, there. It's really a shame that it took an injury to Worley, for everyone to realize that those of us who were calling for Dobbs to supplant Worley earlier in the year, are now justified in doing so.

I understand that it probably was not an easy decision, but if you think about it, had Worley not gotten injured, we'd probably be right in the same position this time next year. With Dobbs and Ferguson getting little if any PT, simply because Worley has more SEC game experience.

Dobbs isn't playing because CBJ realizes "It's Time." CBJ's hand is being forced. I really like Coach Jones and all, but I have to take issue with his tendency to be squeamish over the Fr. QB's. He said weeks ago, regarding them...."You don't know what you got until they are in a live game environment." Well, whose fault is that, pray tell?

I also take issue with their reluctance to get his 3 tallest WR's (6'4") all involved in the game. Croom is the tallest, at 6'5" and he is used sparingly. Paul Harris (6'4") has been riding the bench all year. WTF? We could be leaning on teams with that much size...similar to how Mizzou has been with their big WR's.

I just don't get it. Instead, we mostly rely on the shortest WR's we have on the team (Howard, Johnson and Smith). And then, when we REALLY need a 1st down, we finally decide it's a good time to throw to the big WR's (North and Croom). :loco: What's wrong with this picture?

In between aeronautical engineering classes, I hear Dobbs has been creating his own play book... Just to keep his mind active.

At last count, it was 345,000 pages... Size 8 font
