Dooley and Dez Bryant

It was a horrible era. Now, we can laugh at him. It is just having a little fun like all the sec coaches got to have.

Dooley told him to take it up with Romo. Threw Romo under the bus....

Thank you....that is what I saw. DD nodded to Dez and then Dez goes after Romo. DD has lost control of the receivers...he is toast.

I presume Dez was upset with the lack of catches and scores he was putting up today (he was like 2 catches on 5 targets for 22 yards.

A little while after that he scored a 50 yard TD...he's probably happy now

This. Looks like he's mad at Romo/OC/play calling more than Dooley.

Now if you wanna get b!0tc# slapped by A REAL VOL then meet me in the parking lot at the team bus and I show you and that bum Dooley how a Volunteer lays the smack down on punk WRs like you!

I really did think Witten was going to punch Dez in the face. He probably needs to be. That's what happens when you call out Calvin Johnson; he makes you look stupid

One thing I did notice was that Demarcus Ware in street clothes grabbed Bryant by the face mask and put him in his place in a damn hurry.

As far as him being compared to Megatron, that is a joke. Calvin Johnson by the time he's done playing the game will be the 2nd best WR to ever run a route, only behind Jerry Rice.

I would pay good money to watch Jason Whitten deck Dez Bryant, that would be hilarious.

As far as Dooley is concerned, I would be interested to know exactly what he said to him when he grabbed his arm the way he did. From watching the video I got the distinct impression that Dooley said something to the effect of "You need to calm the hell down."

Because he sucks as a coach and person
As a coach, when comparing scores against common opponents who both Dooley and Butch have faced while at U.T., here are the facts.

Dooley
against Oregon: Lost by 35, Butch lost by 45
against Florida : Lost by avg. of 13.7, Butch lost by 14
against Georgia: Lost by avg. of 14, Butch lost by 3
against So. Car: Lost by avg. of 9.3, Butch won by 2
against Alabama: Lost by avg. of 31, Butch lost by 35

Add up all the point deficit against common opponents and Dooley lost by 103 point average per year against these 5 opponents. Butch lost by 95. So we have improved by 8 points total against 5 opponents. That is an average of 1.6 points per game. In the only head to head, Dooley won 45-23.

I like the new coach, and I see some improvement, but not nearly enough to make a person love one coach and hate the other. I can't hate either as a man, because I haven't met them.

Yeah okay dude...but that ignores year to year talent differences with all those teams. For instance, Oregon in 2010 IMO was not as good as this years team. Plus, we played them at home.

And so forth.

The one that jumps off the page is the USCe comparison though. All the difference in the world! Uga also much better...and this might be part of it, those games for Butch were later in the year.

Let's see how he does vs. the rest of the schedule. (cough cough) I bet the Vandy comparison will be very interesting!

I think you're going to far. He was a below average coach in over his head in the SEC, and he lost a few games at UT every year that should have been won. Reports say he was a bit of an ass to the players also, and we all heard him throw the players under the bus repeatedly.

But to say he "sucks as a person" is going a bit too far IMO. You don't actually know him, so let's not even go there.

Pretty sure Dooley lawyered up when dez put his hand on him. That's why he moved on so quickly.

Lets compare talent level of the 2 teams. Dooley had 2 NFL WR's and an NFL QB. I think CBJ has a little less talent on offense to work with. It's also obvious the players are pLaying with more passion this year than they did for Dooley.

Dooley looked real good coaching against KY in 2011 too:)

True Dez doesn't respect any one or anything and I also felt like Dooly was picked on to much also. Although my feelings changed after he was fired and stories started surfacing about how he treated former and current players.

We sure didn't hear anyone, players or Admin. Staff taking up for Dools. From all I have heard, he was a jerk to most everyone over there during his 3 years.
