'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Heard John Brice from VQ on the radio say that we are very much in the running for Adoree. Between us and his slight leader LSU for now.

Cool, because he already gave UT a visit! Plus I disagree, i can't see anybody wanting to play for Muschamp over Butch. If he thinks Butch is gonna do well here, then I say he picks Butch no doubt!

I should have been I little more clear, I meant a visit for a game. Muschamp is a defensive mastermind that has produced stud defenses since his DC days at Texas. I want this guy at UT more than anyone, and if he gives us an OV then I think we have a chance.

I know butch has brought a lot of excitement to the program, but you have to take off the orange shaded glasses for a second.

I want him bad as well but I have taken off my orange glasses. I don't see anyway we get him. Florida's track program, plus their stout defense doesn't bode we'll for us.

I think we need to move on.

That's exactly the kind of attitude that got us into this hole in the first place. We fight for every recruit we need and we fight until the damn fax machines on NSD says the game is over. We are relentless. We do not quit. Not 'round here. Not anymore. #ButchGetsIt #AdoreeKnows

Move on? He was here in the summer on his own dime and is coming back for 1 of his 5 OV's for the Auburn game. He might not end up a Vol but if he wasn't very interested he wouldn't waste an OV to UT, a place he's already visited recently.

Come on now, Ron. You can just go using facts like that, man. That shizzle don't fly on this board. :) You gotta ride with the Doom N Gloom crowd. That way, if you're wrong...you're good, Yo?

I think we have improved our chances for Adoree Jackson as Ron explained--the track program thing is just a minor aspect of this. The kid basically said the reason why he was OVing here at Auburn---the team atmosphere--that this thing is on the verge of being turned around.

Is he actually visiting for the Auburn game? Or is that speculation?

Kid don't want to play defense and I think he is gonna force a coach to give him a shot on offense. If you wanna be a WR...we have a historical advantage over the UF. He tweeted to someone the other night that being DB was ok, but he wanted to get the band playin.

Butch has us very much in this.

I'm not discounting UF. They are a threat in this recruitment certainly, as they were an early favorite of Adoree. Things have changed. LSU is his favorite and it seems UT has moved up ahead of UF for second right now. If Adoree does indeed take his OV for the auburn game, it is highly likely and seems certain he will not end up OV'ing to UF. If it plays out like that, which as of now its shaping up this way, UF is on the out and its a 2 team race between LSU and UT, with LSU in the lead right now.

From a VQ article yesterday...

After the LSU visit Jackson's plan because little more up in the air. He noted that Florida State is likely to receive an official visit on Nov. 2 and that Tennessee will likely be his destination on Nov. 9, but added a Notre Dame official visit could happen that weekend instead.

If he shows up to UT on an OV we have a real shot. If he doesn't, we don't.

No mention of Florida? Please be true lol

I know, but he didn't say Florida. Just that LSU was his leader and we are very much in the game. Said that LSUs success with how they featured Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu was as DBs and return specialists was attractive to Adoree, probably why they lead. But that UT is doing a very job and still in the hint. Called him the most dynamic recruit in the country.

If Butch somehow pulls this kid he goes from great recruiter to freakin legendary.

Gotcha, sorry I missed that. :hi: I agree, if he visits that weekend and we show out to him again we have a real shot. If I remember correctly I think he was surprised how well he was treated on his unofficial.

One final note, as we mentioned earlier this week it's looking very likely right now that Tennessee receives an official visit from do-it-all athlete Adoree' Jackson for the Auburn game.

While most have considered him a Gator lean the last few months LSU is beginning to make a very strong run at Jackson and it wouldn't be a surprise if the Tigers came out of their official visit this weekend being the team to beat for the time being.

We'll see after this weekend. Parents are coming in I am told as well, it would be better if it were a night game.

If LSU secures both Jackson and Tony Brown, could be looking at a new DB run like Peterson, Clailborne, Mathieu, Simon, Brooks, Loston, and Reid with the 2013-2015 classes.

Toliver and Lewis have already been secured for the 2015 class, plus White and Robinson are basically taking over at CBs now as true freshman.

We'll see... either purple/gold or white/orange will work for me.
