I agree with the one more DT for sure and then we need to upgrade one of our existing place holders so I'm with you on two to get to a full complement for DT. My concern at DE is we're overcrowded by one already so need to drop two and add one. jmo.

I think I heard some chatter on here about maybe Vickers going inside. I don't know but as much as we're upgrading talent on defense right now I can't imagine we're going to "settle" for anything up front.

I think the general consensus is we need a stud JUCO DT in this class and McDowdell is arguably our best candidate. Additionally for the future we need another talented HS DT and that would be Mosley or Elam I think. Finally we want and will get Hendrix so the only question becomes are we planning to make room for A. Williams. My guess is that we have a lot of backup plans because we're relentless in our quest to rise to the top.

i liked poona - but at UT over the last few years so many terrible decisions have been made that any bad call CBJ makes in recruiting won't even make the top 100

we told 2 current heisman QB candidates to look elsewhere for Christ's sake

I still wish we would have taken this guy. I think he's going to be pretty good and I want 3 DTs in this class.

I still think we get Mosley, Hendrix, and 1 more juco DT in the finish - that would make this the DL recruits this year

Barnett
Mosley
Lambert
Henderson

Mosley is a DT, Henderson isnt

but other 3 could easily end up playing SDE or DT

so even w/o a juco DT we are adding 4 big boys that could all be DT's - not bad - 5 if we go get another juco DT which is a definite possibility

i also like the guys who have versatility and can play multiple positions on the line - while it may not be crazy deep - it is very talented and I think gives us some really good pieces for the future

I saw someone suggest that Carr, Barnett, and Lambert could drop down to DT on passing plays. I think we have several who are interchangeable, and that is great. We may not be real deep after this class, but it is a great start. It could have been a disaster.

I am starting to feel like next year could be better than we originally thought. Both lines were the concern, and I think we will be solid. The back 7 on defense could be dynamite, and the WR's are going to be fine. The only other question may be QB, and it just depends on how Worley plays the rest of the year.
