Not a moral victory kinda guy. And considering Pig is probably completely miserable right now I'm gona lay off the we just blew it. But we had it. Anyone who doesn't think we could sweep November is just hating. And USCE is totally possible. Big ass brick laid today and not in the toilet for a change. That wasn't a cupcake today that was a team that beat lsu and s carolina. Steady improvement. All you can ask for. Plus Branisel, Smith,Croom, Vereen, Reeves-Maybin, North, Pig a sophomore. Future is in good hands with Butch. I'm emotionally drained glad its bye week. Go Vols! Sweep November and win a bowl and recruit like hell.

Man, I SO wanted that win. That being said, could you have asked for a better environment for the biggest recruiting weekend of the year? At one point on TV, they even credited the crowd at Neyland with a delay of game on Georgia, they mentioned several times how loud it was.

Can't wait to hear some recruits' reactions

Jalen Reeves-Mayhem, forget who posted that but mad props. Perfect nickname for him, he was Mayhem on special teams, he made play after play. He is going to be a great OLB, might see more playing time as the year goes on. Him being injured in the offseason is the only reason we probably haven't seen more of him but he has come along way. Future is looking good for the good guys.

Mayhem needs to keep his dreads too, love a nasty OLB getting sacks, laying the wood, and keeping it fresh with dreads.

Mayhem, I freaking love that. HAS TO BE HIS NEW NICKNAME.

That's the type of offensive play calling late in the game you need to upset a top 10 team...

We've been missing that for nearly a decade.

Also, this is the happiest I have been with offensive and defensive calls all season.

Looks like this team is starting to jell.

This is my first post.we have to right man up there.Im 36 and I have seen a lot football. To all the recruits get on the butch train or its your lost.if anyone is unsure on how committed I am my house is orange and white.thank u vols player for getting your all today.go vols.

That one hurt bad. I'm really glad we've got a bye next week because I'm sure the team is crushed. So damn proud of them. We've gotta get a big win this year for the seniors.

Was there in Y6.

FL last yr was loud but I think tonight was probably the loudest since 2004 FL game (Wilhoit's 50 yard redemption FG game). (2006 Cal a close contender)

I'm happy with the effort, but we've got to learn how to put these games away. It was there for the taking.

I believe we are in better hands, but I am not ready to call an upset until I see one. Which would be the next one

I don't even get on VN during games anymore. Haven't even caught up on this thread before posting.

I'm gonna say this. There is NO such thing as a moral victory at TN anymore, so this one just racks up as a loss...........

BUT, I cannot remember the last time I was as proud of a TN team as I was in this game. Worley manned up and lead team. Neal put the running game on his shoulders, McCullers shut down the inside run. I could go on and on about the good things I saw in the second half of the game. WE HELD THEM TO 7 SECOND HALF (regulation) POINTS.

While Pig MAY have lost the ball on that play, he did it giving everything he had trying to get into the end zone. Hold your head up young man. TN may have lost that game, but there will be plenty of victories before you leave.

Did we go for fourth down inside our own 30 three times? In the 4th qtr?
