On paper, Gurley much better than Marshall

Marshall averaging a lot less per carry than Gurley. Stats aren't everything, but that's a significant difference.

This doesn't mean I am going to proclaim the Vols will win, but it's another little thing that will help us, for sure.

With our non existent speed....
Marshall might be just as favorable as Gurley in this matchup .

Yes Gurley is better overall- but speed dominates our d. AJ and big dan are much better built to stop a bruiser than a scat back.

J Green, their freshman back from my ole highschool is legit too. They have 3 or 4 backs better than all of ours...

Both of them are solid backs. The reason Gurleys stats are better than Marshall's are because he's played more than Marshall.

You like the odds of 4.2 ypc compared to 6.3ypc?big difference but that still can beat us. AJ Brewer and McNeil are going to have to be extremely discipline in this game. I feel like Arthr Lynch could have a career day against us if we don't sell out in run on each play action.

Gurley or Marshall -- won't make any difference at all. Their O is stocked with playmakers that can beat us badly if we don't bring our A game.

Driskel / Murphy

Gurley / Marshall

Rohan Davies / Matt Mauck

The "back-up" is rarely kind to the Vols.

Too bad they don't play the game on paper. Marshall, like he did last year, will more than likely give us fits tomorrow

Both will play on Sundays but Gurley is the first rounder and Marshall is a second rounder, I HERD we got one on the way.:)

Reckon what happen to the Walkers and Jacksons and Smiths of the world, I know its a passing league but it would look like we would have a big time back, the last one AP Vikings.

Gurley: 71 carries, 450yds, 6.3ypc, 4TD
Neal: 80 carries, 468yds, 5.9 ypc, 5TD



Marshall: 51 carries, 213yds, 4.2ypc, 1TD
Lane: 45 carries, 280yds, 6.2ypc, 4TD
