Twitter and smart phones are little more than self-esteem devices for young people. This whole idea that with tweet and texts you must inform your friends and lots of other people what you are doing or thinking throughout the day--and they, you. And so you must check your phone every 30 seconds all day--people checking for emails/texts/tweets while they're driving. It's comical--it's like a shut-in getting junk mail: "I'm somebody!" And I say his as somebody who tweets and who has followers--why, I don't know. Many people follow thousands of people on Twitter, which means that they must be looking at their phone screens all days as tweets come rolling in. 98 percent egotistical waste of time. If you are an entrepreneur and have a business that is dependent on the public in some way, twitter is beneficial; otherwise, not so much.
