FWIW, I think Ron gets a little "methed up" sometimes before he posts his predictions.

lol nah. I actually agree with most of you guys but what's the point in predicting UT to suck and lose? I'd rather be optimistic with my pick.

BUT RON YOU'RE NOT BEING REALISTIC AND DRINKING TOO MUCH KOOL AID!

A bunch of negative Nancies up in this hole today! Here's the way I see it… Our guys come out fired up and mad, feeling that they have a lot to prove after getting waxed last week. The offensive line plays nasty in the run game, and we outrush Florida. However, will that be enough? History in this series says yes, but I do not know if history will be correct tomorrow. We will see. No prediction from me, as I want to be as optimistic as possible when I watch the game tomorrow. Go Vols!

To make a game of it we have to sustain drives and make first downs. The way our defense is banged up, a big physical offense like UF's will wear down our defense pretty quick, IMO. Their running game is legit I believe. Driskell is good enough to beat you with his feet or arm. Need to create some turnovers.

Offensively...tippy-toers and east-west runners need to stay home please. QB has GOT to be a threat to run the football and the TE position will be key in this game, IMO.

23-20 UT

I doubt they are overconfident after losing to Miami. They've had to simmer over that for the past week. Now they are just ready to punish another team. It just so happens to be UT this week.

That to me is the unfortunate coincidence for this year. Does anybody recall what UGA did to us after dropping 2 games early in the season a couple years ago? That was Bray's 1st start iirc. My only hope is that if this game goes that way we'll eventually see a Freshman hit the field on mop up duty, because that is when things start to look up.

Oh btw...I like to wear my orange shades every single day whether rain or shine!

http://www.tennessean.com/article/2...sidentified-teammate-rape-case?nclick_check=1

Vanderbilt administrators say they are monitoring the rape case but haven’t disciplined any other players.

Nor have they offered explanations of their own about the role of Carta-Samuels or van der Wal, who both continue to play football.

Franklin allowing ACS and Van der Wal to continue to play shows how big of a POS he really is. Even if what they did isn't considered a crime. Both were still there, were involved, and knew what was going on. I hope they don't win another damn game. Karma will catch up with Franklin one way or another. I think it'll catch up with him in Neyland this November but that's just me. :)

I'm sorry UGA had lost 4 and came back at home with a vengeance thanks to poor QB play and mistakes by UT.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Aaron Murray ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more scores as Georgia snapped a four-game losing streak, routing bumbling Tennessee 41-14 Saturday in a rude homecoming for Volunteers coach Derek Dooley.
A.J. Green caught another touchdown pass, his third in two weeks since returning from a four-game suspension for selling his bowl jersey to a person considered an agent.
Georgia (2-4, 1-3 Southeastern Conference) ended its longest skid since 1990 and provided a glimmer of hope in a season that has put the heat on longtime coach Mark Richt.
Tennessee (2-4, 0-3) made this one easy on the Bulldogs, turning it over three times, giving up four sacks and falling behind 17-0 in the first quarter.
Murray was 17 of 25 for 266 yards passing and ran seven times for 41 yards. Green had six catches for 96 yards, giving him 13 catches for 215 yards since his return.
Georgia's struggles were evident from the normally packed stands at Sanford Stadium. While officially a sellout of more than 92,000, there were noticeable chunks of empty seats for a game matching two teams seeking their first win in the SEC.
The breakthrough went to the Bulldogs, who set the tone by holding Tennessee without a score on the opening possession - they gave up scores right away each game of the losing streak - and marching right down the field the first time they got the ball.
Caleb King broke off a 14-yard run, Murray completed a 12-yard pass to Green, then the redshirt freshman quarterback took matters into his own hands. Looking to his left and finding no one open, Murray spotted a huge opening to the right and took off. He didn't stop running until he dove into the end zone for a 35-yard touchdown.
Then it was time for Tennessee to start making mistakes. Matt Simms lofted a pass that was deflected and picked off by Bacarri Rambo, who managed to get one foot down just before he flew through the bench area and actually leaped over the famous hedge that surrounds the field.

I will say this, I have a much better feeling about this game than last week.

Just worried Florida comes out sharp after the bye week and time to steam over the Miami loss.

I'm hopeful --- but not optimistic. I didn't know what kind of talent/team we had before the Oregon game. I was way too optimistic.

Now I'm a realist. We have a tough road ahead of us. If Butch wins a game against a ranked opponent, it'll be because he outcoached them. And that may happen. Who knows.

I'm still wearing my orange jersey to work today and I still believe in the coaching staff and these kids. I just don't have the unrealistic expectations I had last week.

VN is in need of a big win this week. Or else....
