It was eerily quiet in Lower Manhattan. I've never heard the city so quiet. People really took the time to reflect on what happened tonight.

It was a scary deal. I know exactly where I was and watched it all day long. I was stunned for months it seemed.
 
I was in first grade and didn't really understand what was going on, but my mom was crying so I knew it was a big deal. I had the tv on when the second plane hit. Walking feet from where it happened just put a completely new perspective on it. I couldn't imagine what it was like. It was an emotional experience.

1st grade, wtf!

I was at ground zero 12/27/01. saw the memorials and debris. will never forget the experience
