More like a broken ankle. Although I have had both and the recovery for both long term isn't much different.

Ha ha, I've had a severe sprain on my right and a stress fracture on my left foot, at th same time. I was immobile for a few days and looked like I was in a car accident for weeks after...it was hell.

i broke mine and had surgery. my recovery time was short, but i wasnt back to 100% for a while.

I just had surgery in late March. Had a plate and ten screws put in. Just started the Insanity workout about 2 weeks ago. Feeling pretty good but still weak.

Had a high ankle sprain about 4 years ago and it took every bit of 9 months before it wasn't bothering me.

Insanity lives up to its name. Have you cussed out "Shaun T" yet??

Just read the last 17 or so pages about the yahoo crap. First off, I agree that the worst that comes of this is Couch is done at UT but I don't even see that happening. If what they were saying on 104.5 is correct, there is a rule that as long as they didn't receive above a certain amount(which they didn't) and pay it back they're good. I think he's likely being held out this weekend just to play it safe until the UTAD figures things out. I seriously doubt they could prove anyone at UT had knowledge of this. I doubt anyone at UT did anyways, imo.

I understand some of you are pissed that Mo Couch would jeopardize getting UT in trouble, possibly some of our season, and possibly his future (I know some don't think he has one in football, who knows) but most know these type of things happen all the time at pretty much every D1 school(especially in the sec). I can't prove anything but I'd bet the farm Couch and Bray aren't the only two players that have accepted money or some kind of extra benefit while at UT. Does anyone think players like CP, Hunter, DaRick, Tiny, J James, Fulton, Stone, AJ Johnson, Maggitt, J Smith, McCullers, Lane, Neal, etc, etc, etc have never taken anything and always thought "Sry, I can't take that, Sir? Even if it's just a $50 or $100 bill to go out to eat on with friends or their girlfriend? Cmon, man!! It happens almost everywhere. Period.

A time or two. ..

I tell you what though, if you eat healthy and work as hard as you can through the program you will feel amazingly energized throughout the day. Definitely refreshing.

Its not easy for sure, but it has it rewards. Before I broke my ankle I had been in the program for about 4 weeks. I was really starting to get some results. Was starting to get back in shape. Was playing basketball 2-3 nights a week. But one night when I was playing I got hit pretty hard in mid air after driving to the basket and came down pretty bad on it. The rest is history.

I don't think anything serious will come of it, but what sucks is that we lose Couch for the Oregon game. Not to mention getting this news a few days before the game has to be somewhat distracting for the team.

Hopefully he will be back by FL

New wrinkle: North goes deep to Worley?

One-handed, no-look catch IMO.

North was looking behind him, as that is where he expected a Worley-thrown ball to be

Co-writer of yahoo article said NCAA would have a hard time proving any of that took place cause they COULD NOT use there info

any truth to this?

My bama friend has been texting me all night about this and that is what he said too:

"The author of article says he wont be turning anything over to ncaa and he doubts they can get the info he has.. Says he doesnt want any players\schools to get in trouble.. Just shining a spotlight on the dirty business of agents and saying players should get paid etc.. We will see"

He also texted this:

"Article says fluker didnt get enough to be 'flagrant' anyway (whatever he means by that).. Says it was a bed luther davis bought him and a couple of plane tickets.. Again it wasnt straight from agent even if DJ knew it was 'bad' money.. we will see but so far just seems like a bad media day but ncaa surely wont even try to mess with the schools involved "

Also, on Mo Couch, I gotta get this off my chest. The guy is married and has a small child. I can't blame him for taking some cash if he was in a jam to pay rent or whatever to help his family out. I remember when he committed and eventually signed with UT he was always tweeting how excited he was and how much he loves UT and proud to be a VFL. He was always responding to UT fans on twitter wishing him luck and whatnot and was/is a very nice guy. His first year here he was a fan favorite and UT fans were excited to have him for two more years. He may not be all sec now as a Sr or even a starter on this team anymore but that guy busts his ass every day for UT and his family.

For some on here to act like they don't care if he ever plays another snap at UT and basically say screw him, he's replaceable is kinda hard for me to read. I don't care if he's a starter or whatever he is, he does help this team and he does truly love UT despite being a FL native. I hate it for him that he's in this situation now but he has given his all for UT for 3 years and I'm not gonna blame him for what he did bc nobody knows exactly why he took the $ or what his young families' circumstances are/were(what if it was to pay Dr bills bc his kid was sick? Nobody knows) . Like I said, this happens all the time in the sec and other big time programs. Mo just happened to get caught for whatever reason.

I'm not saying it's right for players to take extra money or whatever but I can understand a guy who's giving his all for UT on the field, trying to earn a degree, and also being married with a small child a little easier than just some 5* big head that fails multiple drug test and gets into altercations with his position coach like DaRick did(just using him as an example). I hope he is able to finish his Sr year at UT and if he does I hope he has a great ending to his time here. Sry for rant.

Very good post

Mo is just as much a VFL now as ever IMO. Hope he plays again.

Couch screwed up, period. The team is bigger than Mo. If he's a VFL he knows that. I'm not a fan of people "tossing" him aside but he did that to himself, his family, and his team.

Big difference between this approach and acting like he owes something to fans or that the university is more important than his family.

Dealing with the consequences is one thing. Some people here are acting like he's personally affronted them. Those people need to get a life.

AJ Green sold his jersey for $1k. He was suspended for 4 games. UGA had no repercussions.

NCAA is unpredictable, but I can't imagine this being any worse.

Wait - you mean providing for your family is less important than UT fans?

For the Oregon game I would like to see multiple dime package formations just to get more speed on the field. Maybe line Mcneil up as an olb with Sapp let Moore and Randolph roam at safety.

you have to line up the players who know the assignments. cant just run DBs everywhere

Your right but the only player whos not jn his "comfortable" position is Mcneil. If thats a problem then you go with 2 nickle backs at the same time, Toney and Swafford.

To win this game we have to contain the edges with our ends and have more speed on the field.

true, but if you use all of your DBs in 1 formation, you cant rotate them out when they get tired.
